Thread: Petite Jamilla veils?

If any of you have the Petite Jamilla veil videos, what size and type (fabric) of veils does she recommend?

I don't have the videos, but her performance veils are currently made by Arub Dalal Designs www.arubdalal.com

I have her double veil video, I think she said they're 3 yards.
They're not a half circle in the video, they are more like a rectangle, with deep rounded off edges.

I will double check the video, in a little while for you.

For some reason ( and I may be wrong) I think she mentions them being rayon in the dvd for the reason that they slide over each other well.

I know that Jes made some for her once upon a time. . .

Just to say I bought my green and white double veils here : Belly dance Shop :: Sakkara
The shop is in Germany but they ship abroad. It may be interresting for european dancers here.

I attented a double veils workshop with PJ last year in Paris and she told me she likes them so I think there are ok

Wow.. I just watched a video of petite jamila on youtube, and were going to ask where to find those veils! :D

Yes, I have made a few silk pairs for her that she used on the Bellydance Superstars tour..the dance where she used four veils with lime green blue and white were akais.

But the other ones, I think Ganesha Bazaar also sells them..they had a variety of variegated colors that were a rayon poly? material..with a gold trim. They were very easy to work with and I loved dancing with them into I fell into the silk web.

And yes if i remember right they are more rectangular with curved edges.

They also have them with silver trim. I love these veils. Super for double veil and regular veil. I have about 30 of them. Veil is my speciality.
