half circles..which would you like to see more of?
Do you prefer the large ones I've been making since 2003?
Light or heavy silk?
What colors?
How about the regular size half circle veils (2.5 yards by 45 inches wide), do you find these are easier to use?

Have you tried the charmeuse silk ones yet?
thank you...I'm hoping to condense the catalog and focus on which items will be popular so that I can increase production where needed :)

Yes. Just purchased another pair from a retired dance sister...
Light, verrrry light.Light or heavy silk?
Too small for *me*, but I certainly think they should be available for the petite dancers among us!How about the regular size half circle veils (2.5 yards by 45 inches wide), do you find these are easier to use?

I like the large ones (don't have any small ones), lightweight silk, and I'd love to see the Vog colors in half circles, but any hot, tropical color combo is good.

I have 2, but they are too big for petite o' me.
Light or heavy silk?
I like the light-weight.
What colors?
Various...depend on which costume color I need to match.

I don't own any of these, but I would love to have one or even a couple as these are the right size for petite o' me.
Light or heavy silk?
Light-weight will be best.
What colors?
Various to match certain costumes.

Re: half circles..which would you like to see more of?
Lightweight preferred
Have several of the Little Wings, prefer the 3-yard
Looking specifically for La Sirena currently (have an ISO post on Bhuz)- rectangle preferred, but would snap up a pair of 3-yard. For single veil use, I prefer rectangle and would LOVE to try 4-yard veil!
Have NOT tried the charmeuse, but am curious.
(I'm a veil-whore)

I have a set of the larger 1/2 circles and a set of the Little Wings. I think I prefer the Little Wings overall in the lightweight silk. But I love my first pair of Sunrise Merkaba. I want more but the S.Ms go with almost everything.

Re: half circles..which would you like to see more of?
akai veil ho here. A lot of different colors have come and gone through my closet because I like to see them. I love the large half circles, 3 and 4 yard rectangles, and I especially miss the layered wrap skirts with matching tops you used to have. I like unhemmed veils 6 mm seems perfect. I have a 4 yard unhemmed shay's jewel and will be buried with it. It might be 5 mm but I'm not sure. The 8 mm veils are a little heavy for me, have to toss them more, but that's personal preference. What I really love about your color combinations is the harmonious blending of the colors, yummy. I also have a professional circle skirt in charmeuse silk that is wonderful to dance in. I can see that the petite dancers (or restaurant dancers in right quarters) would like the smaller half circles.
Here are the colors of veils I think are beautiful (*=favorites):
Gold Merkaba
Blue Monarch*
Temple Peacock
Malema*
Crimson Fire*
Wine Merkaba
Temptation
A'Kai Bloom
Kirra Dawn*
Sunrise Merkaba
Jemileh
Kata*
Charismatic
Tickle Me Teal*
Salivate*
Bint Mint
Sapphire Bird of Paradise*
Twu's Song
Deja Vu*
Merkaba*
Kalei*
Wildfire
Volcanic*
Katerina*
Ayahuasca*
Prozac*
Merkopper*
Snakecharmer
Orchid Vog
Egyptian Sunrise*
La Sirena
Green with envy***
Bird of Paradise*
Burgundy red pink tone
Turquoise pink two tone
Pink orange two tone*
Anasazi Gold
Turquoise Island
Turquoise Isis
Seafoam Merkaba
Rrrred*
Bird of Paradise with dark fuschia
Fushaqua*
Sunset Tide*
Roses are Red*
Pastel Heaven Sent
Island Midnight
Egyptian Jewel
Deep Peacock
Temple Sunset*
Hummingbird
Blue Gypsy*
Oriental Gold*
The Other Woman
Fuschia Gold*
Red purple two tone*
Purple sapphire two tone*
Black Fire ombre
Shay's jewel*
it's a big list, sorryLast edited by EzmaSiddiqah; 05-11-2010 at 11:26 PM.

Re: half circles..which would you like to see more of?
I'm short so I like veils 2.5 yards by 45 inches wide.
Colors, love them all!
(Sorry, not much help with that)
I love your fire veils!!!
I've only tried the lightweight silk (5mm or 8mm).
:-)

Re: half circles..which would you like to see more of?
My all time favourite are the large lightweight halfcircles. Colors... Anything that is flashy-multicolor-style. What I really miss are these with the painted zigzag on http://www.olafheeg.de/SHARI/galerie...SC_0032_cd.jpg and the dreamcatchers
They were sooo cool and unusual.

Re: half circles..which would you like to see more of?
Thanks so much for the input, everyone. Ezma that's quite a list (did you get my email)
I'm following these responses
So is there any great need for two tone and somber easy combinations or is everyone still digging the crazy colors?

Re: half circles..which would you like to see more of?
I started my stash when you were still in SF, so you KNOW I've been hoarding for quite a while, hehehe ... My personal favorites: Lightest weight, larger 1/2 circs, standard rectangles (still choking myself on 4-yards) in lightest weight. Crazy colors, the hombre ones (not so much the "spikes"), each color melting into the next. My 3 all-time favorites, without going through the boxes:
Merkaba, Kateryna and the limited-edition 1/2 circ rainbow PAIR (each one had half of the rainbow, so you need both of them spinning to be inside a rainbow......... LOVE!!!!!! My #1 Akai forever)
I know you don't like doing pastels, but I would love to see a pastel rainbow version of that one!

haha, it's actually not everything you make, but I did use your three links to review them. My veil drawer is too empty I guess, having withdrawals

Re: half circles..which would you like to see more of?
it sounds like Egyptian Sunrise..one that you named :) the overseas companies that try to copy my work and use the photos can't figure that one out...there's a handful of them they will never 'get' ....that's ten years of my own homemade recipes, combinations and technique..i've tried to show others but its an individual thing.

Found a video with your dreamcatcher style with the more separate colors:

Can you make the same type and weight and size veil that Petite Jamilla uses in her double veil work?

Re: half circles..which would you like to see more of?
I love, love, love the larger 5mm half circles. I'm 5'5" and they work perfectly for me.
Merkaba is my all time favorite and I also have a set of Kata and black, red, yellow fire.
I like the multi colored ones because one veil can match a bunch of different costumes.

Re: half circles..which would you like to see more of?
Slightly OT from the veils, but still hoping you will make some longer silk tunics in your fabulous colour combinations. (Like say for example Sunrise Merkaba hint, hint, hint
)
