    Hair glitter

For my spring recital (with guest artist Sarah Skinner), I am not performing as I broke my arm. ..cr.:I will be announcing and doing prizes, etc. so I still want to get glammed up. I usually wear fake hair because my hair is short now, but it will be a nice change to leave it off, so I was thinking of pouf/spiking up my short hair and putting some hair glitter on! I haven't used hair glitter since...uh a loooonng time ago. My hair is very dark burgundy. Any advice?

    Fun!!!

When my hair was short, I liked a vigorous bit of glitter on it. I found regular craft glitter (especially the holographic kind!) much more exciting than cosmetic glitters.

I used a variety of fixatives (hair glues, waxes, gels, pomades). Whatever I used I'd finish by putting a bit in my palm, adding glitter, rubbing my hands together and scrunching it into my hair.

There are glitter hairsprays as well, and I like them, but they're not quite as dramatic as the look you can get with craft glitter.

Oh is it hard to get out of your hair? My hair is very fine & wavy.

    Re: Hair glitter

Always washed right out of my hair. My hair is very fine and straight, though, and I never have a problem with tangling or with being able to wash stuff out.
