Thread: What to wear with teal?

I have a very deep teal skirt that I occasionally wear with a gold bedlah. I'd really like to pair a veil with the costume, but I've never seen one in a color that would really match, and there are no other accent colors on the costume. Any suggestions for a good contrasting veil color??

I like Turquoise with Teal.

I like purple tones with teal: dark purple, orchid, lavender, mauve, violet - all look great in my book!

Purple, gold, champagne, even a floral print with a hint of teal would probably be really pretty :)

A lot of the Akai silks will work. I have this one and I would wear it with teal...

I was leaning toward purples myself.

I am planning to buy a bright hot pink veil to go with my deep turquoisey teal costume.

I think lime/apple green would look great with it. Like this Shibori Borealis...

A purple or blue could work. If you wanted to be daring, you could even go with black.

Burgundy, maroon, or wine red looks really nice with teal/turquoise.

Also, light oranges look really good with it too.

Coral, burgundy, pink, pale blue

Anything from the cool side of the color wheel, light, dark, dull or intense will work easily: all blues, greens, violets even some burgundies. I have a teal that I wear with a Fairy Cove veil just like the second Akai shown above. Complementary colors from the orange/gold/terra cotta family can work too, but would be a bit trickier/more daring - I'd choose ones from this family that are not too intense, and give them some visual support with well-chosen accessories in similar colors.

Akai's Sunrise Merkaba goes wonderfully with teal (and just about everything else) Tried to include a photo but am having trouble.

When it comes to "neutrals", copper and teal is a great match.

Mint green, hyacinth, deep magenta, sky blue, gold, silver, lilac, lemon yellow, scarlet, mauve... I love contrasts!

I was just thinking that. Brown would be really nice with it. I saw a veil once somewhere that was brown and turquoise. That would be pretty with the teal.

You can get really nice gold silk veils.
Or turquoise matches teal very well.
Multicolor Akai veils go also with almost everything :)

I have a multi colored tie dyed silk veil that has teal, purple, pink, blue, etc. It goes with everything!

With all these great suggestions I'm going to have to give up buying costumes just to buy veils! lol Thanks, everyone!
