Thread: Where can I get fabric like this?

I have this set from Sharifwear:

Is there anywhere I can get fabric like that to make some other costume stuff to go with it? Specifically I'd like to make a tribal panel type of over-skirt to wear over pants, and with the top from the set.

I got them from the fabric district here so I'm not sure where you can find them...and I'm not sure what they're called either! But they're amazing!

Hey, I have the same fabric, exact color in a leopard print. There's 2 pieces, enough to cover a bra or belt with extra.

I've seen this Fabric (in this exact pattern plus various others) at JoAnn Fabrics in their Halloween section. I *think* it's sometimes called glissinette. ?????

check with eshtabellydance here on Bhuz. I believe she has made costumes using the exact same fabric.

I have a couple yards of that fabric somewhere buried in my fabric stash(s) I got it about 3 years ago at Joann's but haven't seen more recently. That *style* of fabric can be found at shops like spandexworld.com

Yep! I've seen it too and mostly at Halloween! I used a variant (the green/ purple plain) for sleeves. It floats so prettily. I love it!
