I don't think I've ever seen one, but they shouldn't be difficult to make. It's not hard to find decorative bamboo sticks for home decor or even simple, long dowels at a hardware store, and it should be less tricky to wrap a straight stick with sequin trim or Mylar tape than a crooked cane.

i might have to resort to making one but would rather just buy one..or i'm wondering if i find a regular sequined cane, how hard it would be to take off the crook? i did that to a foil wrapped cane once but it wasn't that thick..and i want a thicker one..

thebellydancestore told me they had some, and then two days later were already sold out :(

Unless you can find an unusually long cane (or you are not especially tall), won't that be too short? You would have to saw down far enough to avoid where the cane starts to turn, and that is usually a few inches below the highest point. Because the man's dance tends to be associated with the straight cane, I wouldn't think you'd want to go too short, and might even err on the longer side to keep that vibe. I think you can get away with a shorter cane when it's one of those dainty little foil crooks, but you don't want to look like you're dancing with a Barbie sparkle baton when it's a straight staff.

I saw a straight cane made of natural bamboo on the German website Startseite :: Sakkara
The site has an English language version and they ship to a large number of countries. I live in Ireland and I have ordred from them before and everything is of good quality. The cane looks quite sturdy in the photograph. You could just cover it in sequins by wrapping sequin trim around it and maybe put some fabric near the handle to cover it up and give a nice grip. Hope this helps Let me know how you get on.

ive had luck finding long enough canes and i'm tall too. the crook on the one that i cut off didn't affect the length all that much, it was still long enough to dance with for sure, ive tried out some of my friends canes it was a little pathetic looking on me cuz they were so small lol

thanks Sheeoneh, i'll look into that site.

I've seen these several times at the local belly dance events in San Diego (the larger events). I know our Sameda fair in July is a month from now, but if you can wait until then, I can get you some.

bellydancestore sells some straight foil wrapped ones, you might be able to wrap that in sequins. Also, dowels from the home improvement stores can be turned into tahtib, and they cost only a few dollars--cut to size as they are usually around 48" long. 1/2-3/4 inch or more would work well I think. I'm going to cover mine with hoop tape I think.

I saw awesome dowels covered with sparkly tape at Sahra Kent's Sa'idi workshop this weekend. They were done in silver, purple and turquoise in a diamond-type design.

Virginia (of Miami) said she just went at the cane with sequined trim and a hot glue gun. If you go with the Mylar metallic/glitter/holographic tape, you just need to wrap it.
