Eman Cup Sizes-Thoughts?
I am curious how the Eman bras are sized. I see one on Dahlal I love, but its listed as a C/D (not dina style). I am not sure I will fit it....(34DD)

Re: Eman Cup Sizes-Thoughts?
A C/D should fit. I'm a 32DD/E and my Dina style bras (my favourite) measure 7" horizontal x 6" vertical, which seems to be Eman's standard C cup. Mind you I cannot wear a Pharonics bra at all, and if it's the older stlye Eman cup those measurements would be too small for me. Eman's standard C?D cup normally measures 7.5" horizontal x 6" vertical.
Which costume are you looking at? I have a fair amount of experience with Eman bras of all shapes ands sizes, maybe I can offer more specific advice?Last edited by Sarahamh; 06-08-2010 at 04:24 PM.

Re: Eman Cup Sizes-Thoughts?
I bought an Eman with the 7.5hx6v measurement which I also believe is the C/D, and I had to add a half an inch addition to the tops of the cups to keep it decent. Once I did that, the bra fit really well and looked great, still had plenty of cleavage. I wear a 34DD bra as well.

It depends on the style of her cups, I agree - some are almost football shaped, so they appear as if they would be large, but are really shallow. Can you point us to which costume?

Yeah, that's the foot-ball shaped cups, same style cup that is in my velvet, which is the one I had to make the addition for. Except for the shortness of the cup, which was pretty easy to remedy, it was a pretty good fit.

Re: Eman Cup Sizes-Thoughts?
The arm bands would work, since you would probably only need another half inch or so of height, and it's a halter, so you attach one edge of arm band to the strap, and anchor it in the center of the bra, and then do the same for the opposite cup. This is one of the most common additions I think most dancers make to their tops. If you search the Beauty and Costuming section of the forum, there is a whole thread devoted to different ways to make additions to the tops of bra cups.
Here is a link to one of the threads:

I actually used some matching velvet I got at Joanns fabric that I sewed to some buckram so my addition would be a little stiffer, but you can also just check for trims that have similar color(s) to add to the top as well, or a gold or silver trim.Last edited by JoLynn; 06-08-2010 at 10:51 PM.
