wish list for silk circle skirts
aloha dancers, since I'm time crunched with a new full time job I thought I'd ask dancers what they'd like to see so I can spend what precious dyeing moments I have making things you would like to see..
am going to concentrate efforts on:
1) large half circles
2) rectangles of various sizes
3) SILK CIRCLE SKIRTS in the charmeuse silk..if you missed the last ones I had, they look like this..(see photos below)
4) silk scarves for office (I hung a display of scarves in my office (i hate to call it cubicle) and they've become a big hit as office wear
5) silk skirts of various types
6) ponchos or ruanas
WHAT COLORS would you like to see (mainly in veils and skirts) ..as I can't really do custom work I'd still like to work from a wish list. Two to three tone skirts work best (if you get into multicolors like Volcanic or Gold Merk it's just too difficult) ..will have a few solids too, in fact sold a red one and it had good reviews
custom work will not be available at this time
thank you :)

Re: wish list for silk circle skirts
off the top of my head, Bird of paradise and Gold merkaba. but there are sooo many gorgeous color combos!
been drooling over your skirts forever :) glad you're gonna be making more!
(and yay for scarves! :) )
question, in the second pic, what are you wearing on the top? is it a layer of the skirt that's lifted up, or is it part of the veil? or is it one of the "100 way to wear" skirts? (*wants to use a skirt like this as a dress*)

I'd love to see rectangular veils in turquoise island, temptation and temple peacock. I didn't even know you did circle skirts!! Would love to eventually have one in turquoise island to match a bedlah I just bought on Bhuz!

Oh My Gosh, SKIRTS!! WANT. In BOP, Temple Peacock, Prozac.
"5) silk skirts of various types"
Might one of those types be...layered skirts, perhaps? (Not that I'm rabidly hinting or anything. ..g.:)

Re: wish list for silk circle skirts
I want more of the wrap tops. (I know that this is not very likely, but since you asked, I may as well bring it up - hope you forgive me?)
I have an Akai top that was called an Angel Top (?), I am positive it's a silk chiffon kimono-ish open-front with short sleeves top from Thai Silks. It's an AWESOME piece for more covered costuming, and I'd love to have more of these. I still could kick myself that I did not realize the delightful potential of these in time.
As for skirts (and tops, of course) - I'd like more deep colors that are oh-so flattering: deep blue, burgundy, copper. These hues are just so flattering, no matter how out of season they may be! But hey, just think 4AM in the canyons, and you have the color of the sky, the rocks under your back, and the canyon walls that magically glow in anticipation of sunrise.

Re: wish list for silk circle skirts
Steffi you are making me physically ache for the deserts.. :)
Ohhh those chiffon tops, yes I still make them but don't usually list them on etsy, they go to the stores..they are popular here :)
Wow if the wrap skirts are wanted I'll see about ordering and dyeing more..I love them too, I have been wearing my own to the office. They are easy to sell online because they are ONE SIZE.
In Hawaii I sell a single layer wrap skirt but it's made of the charmeuse silk..it doesn't need two layers and it's more a luxury item..I used to dye sarongs and still do once in awhile but I don't like that the sarong requires a knot and a fold..the silk wrap skirts have a smoother line at the waist and since they are made with more fabric, they don't open up the way a sarong does.
I'm going to try to do some sleeveless caftans that can be used as bellydance cover ups and also in the office..we have a pretty casual aloha dress code here and so a colorful caftan over a camisole with a pencil skirt would be considered fine. For the CEO's I'll have simple silk scarves.
I'm also going to 'try out' a 16 yard tiered skirt in charmeuse silk..a seamstress is making one for me now..since they are so big I had to dye the silk first..we'll see what happens. I have more ideas than time to do them lol
Thanks for the color suggestions....g.:

I would love just about anything you care to dye in Sunrise Merkaba. The sleeveless caftan sounds intriguing. I may have to 'resort' to buying a rectangular SM veil and making my own sleeved tunic. I already have the SM wrap skirt and a tunic would be perfect with it for travel.
