Thread: ordering from hannan mahmoud

saw a few costumes i liked. wanted to order..i emailed asking about prices/styles/etc and i got a response super quick. can anyone tell me about their experience ordering from hannan? :) how long did it take.....any mishaps? dun dun dunnnnn!

Well, I'll let you know! My troupe just ordered 6 blingy costumes from her. All of her emails have been super quick, friendly and thorough. I'm worried about shipping though. What if they get stuck at customs????

I gave up on the costume I ordered in January :(

I placed my order on April 15. I haven't heard anything yet.

Did you guys pay up front? Did you request to have them done by a certain time?

My order was placed to collect in Cairo, but my email to confirm it was ready went unanswered, and when I called to arrange collection, it hadn't even been started. I had offered to pay, but hanan had said she was happy with cash on collection. They said the costume would be started straight away and posted, but when I emailed again to check progress, I was told it wouldn't be started til may. I haven't heard anything since, and it has been months. Obviously single custom orders aren't a priority at the moment, so I've given up on chasing it for now.

i've gotten really fast responses. she says she is going to two festivals, one of which is the ahlan wa sahlan (hope i spelled it right). she said she could start after and was very enthusiastic about it...but after reading your guys' posts.........gahhhh i don't know!

well...we just sent our money about a week ago...so we'll see. I know with some designers, they'll prioritize if its paid. Makes sense to me. So we'll see if that makes a difference?????? Good luck everyone! We are trying to get ours by mid August.

I think this will be true, she seemed really nice, just it became obvious my order wasn't really a priority. As you have paid and there are a few on the order, I'm sure you will be fine :)

Yep, that's what I was told too...and haven't heard anything since!
