    Difficult to find beads

A lot of my work as a costume designer seems to be re-sizing and altering costumes that dancers buy online!
I do need to find these little gold or silver faceted beads that come at the end of the fringe on Turkish costumes. Sometimes there are three or 4 on there. I can usually find all the other kinds of beads, and sequins etc. to fix, repair, and do what's necessary!

    Re: Difficult to find beads

I haven't come across them through any of the bead sellers I buy from. (I've also looked for the metal teardrop-shaped beads that are used on hip scarves, and haven't found them, either.) Maybe you have to buy them from the vendor who sells them to the costumers? If you have a connection to someone who makes and sells costumes there, could you ask them where they are buying their beads or if they would sell you a bag for repairs?

I haven't found the faceted ones either... i'f I'm altering a costume smaller - I have to hoard the "bits" for the next person who might need more. LOL

Tourbeau - not sure where you are, but our MICHAELS now carry the teardrop shape! I was dancing in the aisle the day I found them!!!

I've also looked everywhere for those faceted beads and haven't been able to find them.

However, there is an Ebay vendor whom you can buy the teardrop shaped beads from. They're in Canada.

They didn't have them the last time I was there (about a month ago), but maybe they do now. I'll have to check it out.
