Bella armbands too tight? What to do???
The armbands Bella made me to go along with my new costume are too tight! Maybe I'm wearing them too high up but I don't like how they look lower.
Any ideas on how I can make them bigger? I can't just cut them because of the beading...maybe I need to take them to my seamstress and see if she can figure something out.
Sorry for the blurry picture (my auto-focus lens are on loan) but you can see how tight they are! :( Don't like mah armfats oozing..the first pair of armbands Bella made for me fits perfectly...not sure what went wrong with this one.

wow!
I can see they are a bit tight. Are they a tube? No opening right?

You might have to rip the seam holding them together, unbead it back a bit and save the beads, add a panel of coordinating color or mesh to the opening, then rebead and try it out. ... or maybe just take it to your seamstress! :)

Just unstitch the the top casing where the elastic is and make the elastic bigger (unstitch the ends of the elastic, she usually overlaps it an inch or 2) and stitch it back together. That should solve the problem.

COOOL costume. and yes, unstich the seam on the arm bands and either add some elastic to the already existing elastic or just cut the overlap...my arm bands are usually too big so ive had to unstich to make them smaller. unforunately some of the beading comes off sometimes. if you're lucky you can manage without that happening!

If you do just the stitch that holds the casing the beads will not fall off. This is just a fabric stitch. I have adjusted my own Bellas this way.

Due to the price of a Bella I would package the arm pcs in a bubble-type envelope and return them to Bella so she could make them the correct size. Of course I would contact her first.

I don't even open them at the seam. I make a slit right across the fabric horizontally on the inside, pull the elastic through the hole, modify, then push it back in and sew up the hole. Looks like a surgery scar sewn back up.... but who cares about it on the inside of an armband. I get no bead loss doing it that way. Much bigger suck to fix beadwork than to have a small seam repair in a place no one is going to see anyways
