Thread: how to make scallop/mermaid bra??

I really want to try and make a scallop/mermaid bra and wanted to get an idea of how to make it. I know roughly what I might do but I just want to find out what other bhuzzers would do!

find an image you like and go from there.

Start with cups larger than you need and cut them into the scallop shape? I'm just guessing. Suhaila had one like that a few years ago, it was very pretty.

Or alternatively, when re-inforcing the cups with interfacing/buckram/denim/whatever it is you use for the re-inforcement, make *that* bigger, and cut *that* into the scallop shape.
