People can certainly be pretty judgmental about body size...

Thanks for sharing. I know how they feel. The BC pill made me gain a ton of weight, and now that I'm off of it, my hormones are going crazy and my body is trying to adjust, so I'm gaining inches like you wouldn't believe. If anything, I've been eating better and moving more since going off, but I get the fat thing too. My partner even gives me looks when I go for the occasional snack.

I gained a lot of weight on Paxil. About 50 lbs in all. My doctor switched my meds and started weaning me off Paxil about a year and a half ago. I've 35 lbs gradually over that time and am still slowly losing.

i watched a documentary recently on obesity in america and it made a good point. we are designed to want to eat sweet/salty/fatty things. now we have them in super abundance, and we don't even need to get out of our cars to eat! so, trying to say people just need to eat less/better is like telling them to stop doing anything instinctual. its not that simple and there is no one solution.

Doesn't part of that come from our long-ago past when it was so much work to acquire food? Instead of hunting down a mammoth, now we can just order a pizza.
