washing chiffon/silk skirt with beaded/sequin trim

One of my skirts has gotten food on it from the restaurant I dance at... looks like lentil soup or something with curry in it. How do you wash your heavier weight chiffon/silk circle skirts? I am not sure of the fabric content. But it does have 2 layers of fabric and beaded/sequined trim along the edges and slits. Thanks!

I think you can definitely hand wash it. If the food is one one area, you can probably wash it in a way that the decorated edges don't even get wet. If you decide the submerge the whole costume, don't leave it these too long.
Beads are normally fine (the small ones that are used for the edges) but I found that sequins and paillettes loose their color real fast.
