Long-wearing foundation?
I know there is Estee Lauder Double Wear, but last time I had some of that it looked like a mask. But that's been awhile so maybe I need to try again. Are there any good long-wearing foundations that don't leave you too matte or too slick looking? Maybelline had something with the word "Silky" or something like that in the name. I'll look it up and add here later. I'm wondering if it's any good, since it's easily available?

Re: Long-wearing foundation?
I am in LOVE with the one Boots #7 makes, available at Target, for... I dunno.. about $20-25 maybe? It's amazing. Blends, disappears, stays on ALL day, looks good.
ETA: I think primer helps too. I don't wear it all the time, but for performances or hard/sweaty days, I do.

Re: Long-wearing foundation?
Haven´t tried it myself;
but I asked Samasem the other day what foundation she wears ´cause she always looks flawless both before and after performance&classes...she wears ColorStay from Revlon!
Think it was a formula"for dry skin with softsomething"...
I´m buying it because I sweat SO much(glow like a pig!)

Re: Long-wearing foundation?
i agree with lauren, primer does help. i however do not use primer but i feel powder helps a ton. i've actually skipped foundation and just done a good powder to get rid of icky shine, touch ups, or just as my matte base.
MAC has great pressed powders, doesn't make you look too cakey, for me atleast. they also have a great blot powder that gives me a great glow and sucks up all the sweat right after i get done dancing.
on another note, SMASHBOX, MAKE UP FOREVER (sold at sephora) have great foundations. they last long.

..l;, Today they've taken face powder, repackaged it as 'mineral makeup' and raised the price by about 500%. But face powder was *always* made from minerals and, as I understand it, the formula isn't much changed really (although the color range is wider now, and it's possible to get shiny OR matte finished)

Re: Long-wearing foundation?
My all time fave is MAC Studio Fix creme foundation. I used to be able to get it the free-standing MAC store (not dept. store counter) but now you have to order it from a "pro" store if you don't live near one. Worth it IMO.
Their Studio Tech foundation is similar and looks a bit more natural for closer-up viewing but doesn't have as much staying power through sweaty shows.

Re: Long-wearing foundation?
I think silicone-based foundations hold up quite well. That is what I normally use for brides and photo shoots, where the dancer literally sweats but nothing moves and I can still blot.
Primer helps a ton also.
Primer + "buffing" clockwise & counter-clockwise with kabuki brush + "rolling" loose powder over the foundation will help durability and staying power, regardless of formula.
I have been using Make Up Forever Hi Def on my own face and I *LOVE* it. It has staying power. At the end of a long day, it still holds up and I don't look tired or washed out (what often happens when the foundation starts to "fade").

Re: Long-wearing foundation?
I use Kryolan, it's specifically sold as stage makeup, but they have a huge range of colours, and I've never had any issues with it, even when I'm sweating like a pig (I wore it to a very energetic 2 hour class once, and it was still flawless at the end).
