If you can't find the size or color you want, you can always make your own with a mold and some polymer clay, (e.g., here View the Scarab Bottom flexiMold at http://www.artclayworld.com). To age them, you can rough them up a bit and apply a dirty glaze after they're baked.

Try adding the word "faience" to your search.

Aw, man, where were those six years ago when I had to try to sculpt scarabs by hand! These would have been SO much better. Mine kind of looked like they had been stepped on a bit.

I made many, many scarabs by hand too, but I used regular clay and glaze. I like mine better than the molded ones, even though they don't all match.

I went to eBay and typed: scarab turquoise (no quotation marks) and several results popped up, including:

Ceramic Scarab Beads Turquoise Color (12 pieces) - eBay (item 360237736518 end time Jul-22-10 21:08:10 PDT)
