    Cutting decorative bra edges

    I've tried looking this up in the archives and couldn't find anything....maybe not finding the right wording? So here goes....

    Have any of you talented ladies out there have tried to cut bra edges (scalloped, swirls, etc) and how to contruct or reinforce them?

    Instead of that, and probably a lot easier(Ha!), just covering a bra in a nude fabric then "playing" with a different colored fabric to make edges "look" cut and shaped? All your input would be appreciated!

    I've done it before. What I did was use the same heavy interfacing I use to create belts and bra bands (Pellon 70). I pinned my interfacing to the cups of the bra and then cut the interfacing in the shape I wanted. Then I used craft wire to reinforce it and help give it shape.

    Totally second that. I highly recommend to add first so you have something to cut, otherwise the bra will shrink pretty much and the cups will loose support.
    I usually first make the shape, pin it and then cut the bra if it is neccessary to take something away to get the motives right.
