Thread: What are you working on? July 2010

Here it is! Get posting your projects bhuzzers!

I'm currently working on moving apartments and organizing my stash, which has put a huge kibbosh on my crafting for the time being...But I should have a craft room and a dance room after I move.

I'm currently stymied on mounting my medallion costume (hubby tried drilling and wasn't impressed by the lack of results... I've been told to go find a punch *sigh*), but I've got a deadline of the 14th so hopefully we'll get a move on soon!

However, I've been amusing myself with stencil designing --

Oh! Oh my goodness! This one is absolutely stunning. For the first time, I could actually picture myself wearing something with straps....

Ooo Eshta. Those are both lovely.

Here's what I'm working on for July. I'm making it for TanyaLV. I call it "Emerald City". The light green parts will be completely beaded in chunky style. I did a little bit of the beading on the headband so you can see what the end product will look like. I also will be adding large pear shaped swarovski crystals on top of the emerald green chiffon ruching on the bra and belt.

Holy Cow Eshta!! The Monet Garden is stunning!

shahla those shades of green are lovely! It will look fabulous on Tanya.
I've had some people go missing recently. They have their bases to try on but then disappeared. There is nothing I can do in this situation unfortunately. So I have a little extra time and am powering through some stuff. Piles of skirts....and metallic mesh catsuits!

Holy crap Eshta. Monet's Garden is amazing.

Love Monet, but this makes me feel like I am going back to my Polynesian roots. So it rocks!

I will be working beachside for months of July and August! Yippee!~~ I am currently working on a "Camo-Floral" For more detailed Pics on the progress and construction of this you can check out my blog Invoking the Goddess (and I am also doing a custom order. An addition ( a matching belt) to a previous costume that I made a couple of years ago called "Gothic Red"

So everyone here has inspired me and I am making my first attempt at making a costume... a friend of mine made the skirt and now I am working on embellishing it with some homemade appliqués ..g.:

I made the decision to give this dress a radical makeover -- I'm going to chop it up and make a bra/skirt out of it. I will post pics of the progress once the chopping begins...
