Thread: Biggest bindis?

Who sells the biggest, ornate (not just a plain stone) bindis? You can't tell from looking at a picture on a web site.

I love Big-Ass Bindis and Kuhl Jewels on Etsy; they both do some pretty big and sparkly pieces.

tribal bindis or glitzy cabaret-ish bindis?

I dance ATS and use glitzy bindis...the sparklier the better! ;D

really? well that's good to know...i sell bindis on my website, but usually the tribal girls who have made inquiries have said that they're too glitzy for tribal.

but i looked at the etsy links you have up there and those are lovely but a different kind of glitz..maybe that's what they meant.

the premium ones are an inch long - it's hard to gauge size from photos. i have blue, red, pink, purple, green, gold.

This is for a "glamor goth" tribal fusion look. So it's more glitzy than what I've seen most tribal fusion dancers go for. It has more rhinestones, glitter, and mirrors than most of the more earthy and subdued metals in other tribal fusion looks I've seen, yet it is still obviously darker than cabaret.

But gosh, those look like they'd be too heavy for anything short of Gorilla Glue to keep them on your forehead. I've only ever used the tiny bindis so I don't know. I've seen spirit gum recommended as an adhesive, but is that something that is common that would be available in stores around me? I've only used eyelash glue.

I'm afraid i have only one blue left in stock...it's my least favourite - round with diamontes hanging from it - 3/4 of an inch. here's the picture:

I have various options for all of the other colours though. your costume have any colours but blue?

Bindishop has some that are blingy and some seem big, though like you said it's hard to tell online. And the things to know about them (or at least 6/7 years ago when I ordered from them) are:
1. You may not get the exact design you order but one similar, so if you have your heart set on a certain exact design, this may not be the way to go or you may want to tell them not to make any substitutions without contacting you first.
and
2. When I ordered, somehow there was a problem with my credit card (I think they charged slightly the wrong amount or something) and they refunded my card or didn't charge it or something and didn't tell me! I only noticed later when I looked at my statement and I had to call either them or the bank--can't remember which--and have them reinstate the correct charge.

Otherwise I was really happy with my order.

I use eyelash glue to stick my fairly large bindis on with no problem; if you sweat a fair bit you may want to invest in some prosthetic glue (available at costume shops); it is designed for keeping theatrical facial appliances on (such as scars, horns, etc.) so it sticks on really well!
