Neckelmann's prices?
I just got an e-mail that Neckelmann's is having a summer sale on in-stock costumes, and this link: Best quality dance belly dance costumes at wholesale prices
Have their prices really gone up to $325 for a plastic beaded costume and I just wasn't aware of it? I remember the glass beaded ones being that much, but I was very surprised to see the plastic ones on 'sale' for $275.Last edited by Lauren_; 07-08-2010 at 11:57 AM.

Me too! I first noticed that they'd stopped showing costumes on Ebay, then less and less stock on their website. Now the prices have taken a big jump. They used to be really fun, inexpensive costumes to almost get on a whim - also now it seems like they're quite hard to re-sell. Not really a great investment anymore.

Re: Neckelmann's prices?
Yes, I always thought I'd buy another one, I had a lot of fun with mine. Two of my students have them and they look great onstage, get tons of compliments, too.
Other dancers snub them, but the GP LOVES the colors and shine, and they're lightweight and comfy.
But for $300 I'll get something more durable that doesn't need the straps reinforced and that I can re-sell later!

Re: Neckelmann's prices?
I just got that same email, too! I must confess, I hadn't been on their website all too often in recent times--since they stop selling clearance ones on Ebay--so I don't know what this warped pricing's all about! I think that as they are now, they're too horribly overpriced!!
I keep my silver, gold & combo coins sets, and a "Michelle" sparkly beaded style bedlah in iridescent peacock, always in my car trunk as last-minute gigs &/or secondary/back-up costumes:) You're right--they're definitely GP crowd-pleasers, and for us dancers super-convenient & lightweight!

Re: Neckelmann's prices?
My biggest turn off for Neckelmans was always the difficulty fitting them. But I have a source in down town LA, so not a big deal.
I do agree that they are a crowd pleaser and that they are great for being light weight, etc.
