Thread: Show me your Frou frou/pony/fringe/bangs...

I am thinking about getting a frou frou/pony (the short hair that covers your forehead).
but I really don't know what would match my face, it is kinda rounded.
Anyone wants to share her hairdo?? ..g.:

Don't worry my face is much rounder than yours, yours looks more heart-shaped.

According to my hair stylist who has a published book on hair styles for face shapes, she says a TRUE round face (ME!) should NEVER have bangs that go straight across your forehead b/c it visually cuts the top part of your head off and makes the face appear rounder, if you do want bangs, wear them swooshed diagonally across your forehead. Make the part on one side of your head NOT in the middle.

This is what I do...part my hair on the side and sweep my bangs over. Glad to know I am doing what's best for my face shape! ..g.:

and once they grow out (very quickly actually), they're either swept off to the sides or spread out more:



and to this day i still have no idea what my face shape is, nor what my coloring (warm, cool, w/e) is. i need to get on that.

Now I _really_ want bangs. My hair dresser refuses to give them to me on the reasoning that my hair is already fine and thin enough and it will take away bulk from my long hair.

nepenthe, u can always buy those clip on ones. they didn't work for me but i know others have used them and loved them :) available on ebay for cheap

I have a round face and have worn bangs for most of my life.

Oh, I had one cut when I was in my twenties and had my hair died almost black. I've been looking for a picture of it but there are none! too bad, it looked awfull and it would have cracked you up :)

I've always wanted bangs as well, but don't have the guts to go through with it... Don't know if it would suit me

I'm ALWAYS in bangs...short, solid, "Betty Paige" type...when they get a bit long, I sweep to the side...

I have really fine, thin hair, but wore bangs most of my life. I do the side sweep now (which grows out VERY quickly), but bangs looked good w/ the fine hair and didn't take too much away from the rest of my hair bulk or lack thereof.
