where can i get cute artificial flowers for the hair? something with a clip preferably. i've been to claire's and those kinds of stores, but i can't find what i'm looking for...

they range from $3-$5 each, I have one extra large for $13.

I've found them at my local Walmart with the clip already attached. They aren't as nice as Calico Garden's, but they work.

yup! I have an entire drawer dedicated to her pretties!

I've seen ones from the Gypsy Kiss, and they are lovely.

A friend of mine found a bunch of big flowers with feathers at Walgreens for pretty cheap this week too. They have a clip, hair band, and pin attached to the backs.

do you know what type of flower you'd need? hibiscus, rose, etc.?

i just make my own.. all the stuff i need is at michaels, they sell barretts, flowers, peacock feathers, acrylic jewels, etc. then i use hot glue..

also if you wrap the inside part of the barrette with felt it grips quite nicely too!

You can probably contact her and ask for photos - I've gotten some great realistic silk flower hair clips from her.

If there's a good generic mall in your area, Amuse has awesome glitter flower clips! Have the whole rainbow of colors :-)

Bear in mind as well that if you find a flower that you adore that only has a brooch pin, you can convert it just by sliding a hairclip (barrette) through the pin. Claire's had a run on big blowsy silk flowers a few months ago, and i was agonising over how to wear them until I realised this!
