3 part question about fake eyelashes: UPDATE!
1.) when to wear the falsies that have the rhinestone details on them
like so:

i think i heard somewhere that they don't look good in photoshoots but on stage they look wonky too..does it just depend on the lighting?
2.) online source for buying fake eyelashes for the lower eyelashes? or just cut up regular ones and use those?
3.) best way to clean them? i feel that mine lose shape after rinsing them..or should i just peel off the excess glue?
thanks in advance! :)
update!:
well, i tried on the lower ones and success!! here's sort of a crappy picture, i was testing out new makeup for our show on saturday. for the stage, the makeup itself will be heavier but you get the idea of it and i'm glad i got the practice!

Re: 3 part question about fake eyelashes
I don't know about the rhinestone thing; get some and try it ...
As far as cleaning, I always wash my hands before removing them and putting them in their case. I just use the tweezers to pull off the glue either then or before I put them on again. I can get several uses out of them before I have to pitch them. More extensive cleaning isn't worth it for me when I consider how long it would take, the hassle involved, and the price. I get more than my money's worth out of them, anyhow.

Re: 3 part question about fake eyelashes
Dunno about the first 2 questions, but I just peel off the excess glue. Anything else just wrecks them in my experience. This got a lot easier after I started using surgical adhesive to attach them, rather than eyelash glue.

Re: 3 part question about fake eyelashes
I love rhinestone eyelashes - they look fantastic on stage. Every time you blink, the audience gets a flash of them. They are even visible from a raised stage to pretty far back into the audience.
You have to be a bit more careful when cleaning them, to make sure that you don't pull off the rhinestones, too. No real good advice on that, just be careful when you're doing it.

Re: 3 part question about fake eyelashes
about the lower lashes: I've never really seen anyone using them. Do they look good? i don't really see the benefit of using them, but if someone has some good pics, please post them! that way I can see if I even like it - because right now, I'm clueless :))
I think if you can't find lower lashes, you can just trim down the regular lashes and use those.
cleaning: I just peel off the glue, and that has some black liner stuck to it. i just tried to wash the lashes a couple of days ago. I think if you're careful and use makeup remover, you can probably clean them once, use them a few more time, but then that's it. The ends of the lashes are starting to come apart. Although I'm only using half of the lashes, I cut 1 in half and use those for the outer parts of my eyes.

Re: 3 part question about fake eyelashes
Hi Zana! :) When Veronica did mine, she just used those little individual lashes that people normally put on the top lashes.

Re: 3 part question about fake eyelashes
I loooove falsies. I have a grocery bag stuffed full of them from back when my work had them on sale and I got them for .9 cents a pair :) I *sometimes* reuse ... not that often. Unless it's a really fancy pair. I just clean them with regular handsoap (gently) and peel off the caked-on glue.

Re: 3 part question about fake eyelashes: UPDATE!
ladies, how do you wash your false lashes between uses? i have to use an eye makeup remover to get them off, so i washed them with soap and water (gently) to get the oil off, and now the lashes are all nasty and going every which way! :(

Re: 3 part question about fake eyelashes: UPDATE!
yah, i've decided to not wash them at all, just to strip off the glue as much as i can. every time i just ran them through some water gently, the lashes themselves never dried normally :(

Re: 3 part question about fake eyelashes: UPDATE!
Wow Zana, you look great...I can´t imagine being without my false lashes and love my lower falsies almost as much as much Demi Wispies from Ardell:D
About rhinestone banded lashes:
To me they are *just* like the idea of wearing golden or glittery mascara at the tips of your lashes;sounds great but gives a peculiar "high fashion"look.
About cleaning:
I pull them off carefully(before I use *any* makeup remover)and pull off the glue, then clean with purest alcohol I can find-
if they get wet or greasy they lose their curl&shape.
Then put them back in the tray.
For me,the best lashes are those with a clear band, maybe because it´s more bendable and converts to my lid better than those with a solid black band?
