Anyone seen these in person?
I was looking at some of the simple costumes on the bellydance store website, has anyone seen these in person? Sparkling Ice and Sparkling Daisies?

Do they look nice, or does their price reflect on the look? Every once in a while I find a cheap costume that looks fabulous, and holds together well!Last edited by Aradia; 07-22-2010 at 03:23 AM.

Re: Anyone seen these in person?
We've had two threads on the "Sparkling Ice" costumes, http://www.bhuz.com/forum/belly-danc...store-biz.html and http://www.bhuz.com/forum/belly-danc...lue-beads.html.
I don't recall reading any discussion on the "Sparkling Daisies" line, but I'll start one... I like the red bras where the medallions are mounted on front of the cups better than the purple and blue variations where the medallions are farther over on the sides. Something about that placement conjures a mental image of the Dina "hands" costume as rendered by a gecko.

Re: Anyone seen these in person?
I've had the sparkling ice on, and as discussed on another thread the look varies greatly depending upon the decorative materials. I DO remember commenting favorably on the quality for that price.
I haven't tried the sparkling daisy but they do look nice. At that price I would figure some rhinestones might get lost over time.
My impression is that in general they're one of those good deals, but I haven't checked to see how "catchy" the rhinestones are (one of my pet peeves). If you dance in stage shows with bright light you'll want to check the opacity of the lighter colors, I would imagine. The more foil fabric ones you might want to steam as it wrinkles. It's not a paper thin foil, though. :) Or the ones I saw weren't.
Aradia, if you email them with specific questions relating to performance durability and specific model numbers they'll gladly answer. If you email today before 4pm eastern time I'll be there and they'll likely ask me and other dancers who will be there today.
Asking about specific ones will be helpful. Fabric varies as does the decoration and these both of course effect performance durability.Last edited by SamiraShuruk; 07-22-2010 at 09:03 AM.

Re: Anyone seen these in person?
Thanks for the info, I'll check the other threads, I like to add onto my good deal costumes, I make costumes and can do all kinds of flat work, but I hate making skirts,m:: So if I can find costumes with a nice simple base, like the daisies, I can do my own fringe and rhinestones, etc
