Attn: Pharaonics Aida/1001 Nights owners past & present - fit question.
I'm thinking of getting a Pharaonics Aida from Bellydancestore for an upcoming show, and I've got a question about fit. I'm sure several of y'all either own or have owned one and can probably give me the information I need.
The measurements for the skirt have a pretty wide range - 32 - 42 in high, 37 - 50 in low. I'm on the petite side, and the low end of the measurements are pretty dead on for me, but I'm concerned about the upper end of the range - does this skirt have a wicked amount of stretch? Is it booty hugging at the low end of the range? Does it stretch out a lot with use? I have a couple of other Pharaonics that claim to have a good bit of stretch, and they don't really give much at all, but this one has me a little puzzled. I can do some pretty tricky things with elastic when I have to, but with all of the sequins on this, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do if it's just way too big.
Thanks ladies!

I've owned a couple of these in the past. I would say if your hips match the lowest number on their range that it will be too big on you. They are pretty stretchy. I would say the low measurements they are giving your are the measurements of the garment unstretched. You'd need to add alot of elastic to make it tight enough to fit.
The folks at bellydance store are super nice. I would give them a call and ask them what they think based on your measurements. The nice thing about them is that if you decide to buy it and it's too big, you can return it as long as it's still in original condition. You lose the shipping costs, but it's still a good deal.

Dang. I was afraid of that. I guess I'll give them a call and see what they have to say.
Thanks so much!

Yeah, and they're heavy, too, There's a lot of beadwork on the lycra part of the skirt.
