Thread: Anyone order from Legend lately??

Hey gals-
Just wondering if anyone had ordered from Legend lately? Ive seen some really fabulous new designs on their facebook page and there are 2 Im thinking of ordering. Anyone dealt with them recently? Thanks!!

I ordered from them back in November/December. The first bra came back ginormous, but thankfully they were really nice and cool about making me a new one free of charge. Even though it took awhile to get things right, the revised bra fits perfectly, and now my Legend is one of my absolute favorite, most crowd-pleasing costumes.

Dare I say it, inch for inch, it's MORE sparkly and intricate than my most expensive Bellas, and yet it cost significantly less (about $750 including shipping/wire fees, vs. $900+ for a Bella). The crystals are awesome quality and the rhinestone chain doesn't snag. It did smell like cigarette smoke when it arrived, but that was nothing a Woolite bath and some perfumed sachets couldn't fix.

I'd recommend Legend for those who love the look of Bellas, but want something just a little different. I would happily order from them again.

Asiye Demirci is one of the designers. She's on Facebook and constantly updating her page with drool-worthy new photos. Their latest designs are fab!

ETA: Serife was the main contact person I dealt with while placing the order and dealing with the bra issue. They are both very pleasant and reply to your e-mails very promptly.

Edited to add: Looking through the pictures on Asiye Demirci's page I noticed that people have nothing but complimentary things to say about you Miss Satin...g.:

Satin is faboo all around it's true, but I had a different sort of experience with the Legend girls. The quality is there, true, yes it did smell of cigarette smoke and the fit was pretty small around the arms and shoulders (it was a dress). There was only one communication after they had received the money, and that was about 6 months after I ordered it and had repeatedly asked them what was going on with the order. When I finally told them I needed to have the costume or cancel the order and get my money back, then I heard from them and got my cossie within a week. It's beautiful, but they didn't use the additional measurements I had given them for crucial areas on a dress like across the back, the arm diameter, so I have had to modify it. I won't risk sending it back to them at this point, but was disappointed with the service from Legend. I hope I was the exception rather than the rule, but I'd advise you not to be in a hurry to see your costume if you order from them.

OMG! I'm a bella girl....and I only own one legend....but I think I may have just been converted. Those designs! the colors! The fringe!!!

Bugger - I would loooooove to see the costumes but I'm not on Facebook (and don't want to be). Any idea where I can see the cossies then?!

Yup, this was one drawback I experienced. Took about 3 months to get the costume, plus another month or two for the revised bra. Guess it's kind of like custom ordering a Pharaonics from Dahlal or Audrena....expect to wait ,r:;

Oooooooo I'm DEFINITELY ordering one sometime in the near future...ahhhhhhh GORGEOUS! I'm a Bella girl as well but some of those designs and color combinations are amazing!

So how does one order from Legend? Do you use the form in the website or do you email them directly ala Bella? Also, it seems like they require payment upfront? Are they okay with mixing and matching colors and designs? Details, details pretty please? I really need one! And I heard somewhere that they take Western Union?

Does anyone here know how the bras work for the larger chested among us? I've got the tough to fit big boobs small ribcage and wonder if anyone has any experience. Are the cups Bella like or differently shaped?

OMG, I was waiting forever for new pics on their webpage and there are lots and lots on facebook! I owned one legend but unfortunately it turned out too long, wrong bra size and a tad wide so I sold it but still miss it as the work on this was absolutely amazing.

I asked Bella 3/4 year ago to make me a new multicolor costume and still haven't heared from them back, I think I will order it from Legend instead, the new styles on their facebook profile are gorgeous!

Ive got about a dozen of their cossies in my lust folder! Now to decide!!

The model they use in most of their FB pictures was one of the belly dancers I saw when I was in Istanbul. She never cracks a smile.

I have 3 Legend costumes, 1 that I ordered through e-mail. I came in a reasonable time and fit very well.

My two others I ordered while I was in Istanbul. I only had them make a bra-belt set with accessories, no skirt, and both time they finished it in a week.
Although both times I arrived there and they were still working on it like crazy

I will have a photo shoot soon and can then show them all off.

I've ordered from them before and LOVE them! Great communication, got my costume in about 2-3 mos.

I can't speak to ordering from them here in North America, but I did visit them when I was in Istanbul. They were so sweet and kind and took me outside of their regular business hours (and during Ramadan, meaning they were particularly tired by the time I got to them late in the afternoon). The quality/fit of their costuming was great and I am a fairly hard chest to fit. Definitely one of the most positive experiences I had with the costumiers there!!!

Seriously, who needs Bella if you can have a Legend?
I tried to order an all cutout style belt costume from Bella in october(!) asked again in february and still got no reaction from Bella. Frustated that Bella keeps ignoring me I just decided to order the costume I wanted Bella to make me from Legend.

Wow Sha-ri. That's a beautiful costume. What colors are you going to get it in? I really like the beaded swag on the shoulders. Very feminine.

if i had the $$, i'd DEFINITELY order from legend. their stuff is beautiful, and bella keeps ignoring me too. i'd rather quit trying with her and just order from legend but their stuff is a tad bit out of my price range. boo :(

but i wonder if they could make something within my price range..? hmm...must look into that

This is what I would like to change, I thought of those upper arm ornaments with connection to the shoulderstraps...

Still thinking about the color. I just sold my blue-pink-turquoise-silver Paganini and would like to go for something equally colorful.

I tried to order something very similar to this from Bella in green with orange-yellow-softpink-lilac (I wanted to be a little fairy..l;,) but after Bella never replied I bought a green arabesque skirt with turquoise underskirt to go with a yellow-green-turquoise-fushia bedlah so I'm not in the need for green any more...
