Fix the 4pm oily face!!
MAC---prep and prime skin refined zone. Just found out last week that you can put it on over your makeup and it fixes the t-zone!!!! when you are getting ready to perform that night--and you already have foundation and powder on---should i wash my face and start over? I put the primer on my t-zone and lightly blended w/ my little finger ---let it set a minute and the shine was gone!!! i just put a little powder on my cheeks so i could touch up my blush and then did my eyes and i was ready on time for once.
This is for weekdays when i don't put the primer on my face first---before going out in the am---just beta hydroxy toner and foundation w/ spf. and Revlon's Colorstay powder which is great for setting foundation also.

Re: Fix the 4pm oily face!!
Ooh, nice to know. I don't get quite such the greasy skin I used to, but sometimes. I always used to use pressed powder for this back in high school. Maybe that was the incorrect use, because I always had friends asking me, "why are you using that?" "Because my face is oily and shiny." Which was inevitably followed by, "why don't you just wash your face?" I mean, really? Did they seriously think I never ever washed my face, or did they actually expect me to go into the school bathroom every couple hours and wash my face when it got shiny?? Is pressed powder not used to control shine and oiliness and such?

Re: Fix the 4pm oily face!!
great tip, Taji!
And Kat, I feel you on the ignorant classmates. When I went through a severe acne phase, my little brother would say: 'you should wash your face'. Because obviously, if you wash your face, you should have perfect skin all the time!
Pressed powder is my savior: I keep one in my desk drawer for an afternoon ant-shine moment. It is absolutely meant to control shine and oily skin.

MAC Blot works great for me to -immediately- get rid of shine. It has no coverage and goes on right over your makeup.

I tend to use blotting sheets for that, myself. I wear primer every day, these days. I need to get some more, in fact!

Me too... and they do take off my make up. Good to know about the primer.
I use a Mary Kay, Oil Mattifier and then powder over. I can usually touch up my blush too. However, sometimes it moves the foundation around... yuck! So, good to know there are other alternatives out there.
