Thread: Men! why are you so hard to costume?!?

I'm good on the more 'traditional' costume fronts- we've done galebayas and vests of various sorts, but I'm looking for something to work with our jazz fusion number- the girls are in black salsa flare pants and a wrap top with matching sash in flame colors muted with black lace overlay. I've got black jazz pants and an extra sash for our guys, but I'm having a heck of a time finding an appropriate top- I've seen shirts for jazz recitals that have mesh or accents or *something* to dress them up a bit from a basic tank or tee, but for the life of me I can't track any down!

Suggestions? I am so sick of sewing, it's not even an option right now.
If you have a lead on someone willing to sew our vests for us when needed, I'd love to know that too, even tho it's not my immediate concern.

You may want to try searching for men's latin style ballroom clothes. They generally have the fitted shirts with different mesh patterns of sparkles.

Yea, that *is* the problem for us - tops! I pretty much end up making/having made; my own. All the stuff gals can wear on the bottom, we can too - 99.99999% of the stuff gals wear on top, we cannot!
