Re: strapless for D+
seems like there's a bit of boob squeeze going on on the upper part of the boob. I can see this work when you're walking down a red carpet, but dancing might be a bit too much for these.

Re: strapless for D+
Very intriguing, but I would need more than a couple of bounces to be convinced that they would stay in place during a whole dance, if you were thinking of using them for a costume.

Re: strapless for D+
That's why I'm asking- I tend to want something to work so badly I talk myself into it even when it's not the wisest choice... squeezing's okay with me if it actually works!

Re: strapless for D+
It looks like they "perk", but they don't lift. So I think effectiveness would depend on whether you need a lift, or just containment. And then, do they actually stay on?
I don't think they look good for a costume base for bellydancing. For a superhero costume...maybe!..g.:

ROFLMAO!!! Boob braces!! Ok..without an inherent firmness of the tissue, I will end up with boobs 10 inches in frontal projection and 2 inches in height. Knock knock? Who's there? Mammogram!

Re: strapless for D+
That is not going to work. I'm just about to point of resorting to corsets. I wouldn't be able to wear itty bitty clothing anymore, but hell, I look like an old bag anyway with them down around my elbows. I went for a fitting at a local department store recently and that lady, though she claimed to have 15 years of experience and everybody says she is the best, gave me a worse recommendation than I've managed to fit myself. They were no more perky after her supposedly expert fitting they were before. She didn't know jack for all her "training" she claims she does every year.
I got some kind of harness looking contraption (!!!) at Walgreens (!!!) awhile back and it WORKS; got me all hiked up and looking thinner. But it is ugly as a mule harness and can't be completely hidden by anything but a muumuu.
I recently started wearing two bras at a time and that's working great. I don't have to buy more bras, and they're hiked up better. After being traumatized by the "expert", this is working fine for me!

Re: strapless for D+
Hmph. I am skeptical. I have managed to find good regular strapless bras for a 32F, but these have no band, and I think they would be useless.

Re: strapless for D+
They not only look uncomfortable, but also unlifted. That girl does not even have big boobs but you could still pop a deck of cards under them. Why not just get a real strapless bra?

Re: strapless for D+
The only luck I have had with strapless as a 36F is using the clear straps. Not great for bouncy numbers or up-close dancing, but ok on a large stage...

Re: strapless for D+
I don't understand how these work when one of my single boobs is about
8 1/2"-9" wide when properly inserted in a bra. When you put the two together that is HALF the size of someones 36"-38" hips. I mean COME ON!!! I need lift not cover.
Although I see it does make a nice nipple cover.

Didn't someone post something here once about taping the girls up using surgical tape?

- Comfort: Actually no more uncomfortable than a regular bra. They don't dig in or pull at me in any weird ways.
- Support: No support/containment of movement, but they do maintain their slight lift.
- Staying on: Very good. They stay in place and the cups don't move around no matter what I do.
- Movement: I have to admit it is extremely weird to me to have independent motion while I have the feeling of having a bra on. I find it quite distracting.
- Effectiveness: This is the big question, I think. On the positive side, they do indeed perk things up and provide a small amount of lift. On the negative side - torpedo-shaped breasts are not really in style. There is no cleavage (obviously) and they emphasize the separation of your breasts, so if you have a widely spaced bosom, it looks...odd.
- To Wear with your costumes: Probably completely useless for that.
- Will I wear these: I will probably wear them under street clothes that have a built in shelf-bra if I am around the house, but I seriously doubt I will wear these in public under any of my backless dresses, etc.
- Will I buy more of these: No. Definitely not.
Re: strapless for D+
Ok... in the interest of science, I bought these to find out if they did anything magical. The verdict is:

Re: strapless for D+
LOL I am all about researching things and I am always willing to experiment with new bras b/c it is so hard to find a good one. :) This one was an interesting idea, but...well...theory and practice are pretty far from each other sometimes.
But..hey - Science! ;)

I love you, Mahsati Janan. Thank you for this mental image!

I'd photoshop your hair in if I could. :) And I know those are sunglasses in her hand, but they could be finger cymbals.

Re: strapless for D+
I remember trying on a nursing bra like that once- it was promptly returned! Never trust a bra company that says their bras were designed by a bridge engineer and claims to get 'em "back where they belong"
Erm- they were never supposed to be there, thanks. Support is one thing, but I'll take a pass on the torpedo boobs!
