Makeup for Photoshoots
Hello all :) I have a photo shoot scheduled for next week (looks like its going to be on the beach, exciting!) I was wondering if there were any tips/tricks about makeup for photo shoots (I'd like to not have to pay for it be professionally done). Let me know any advice is welcome :)

Re: Makeup for Photoshoots
Hi!
Main thing: Tons! of makeup.
As soon as you think: "Oh my god, I look like a drag queen!" it is perfect. This is because the flash and light - especially sun light - takes away a lot of the colour. If you put on too little makeup, you will look like someone with no makeup at all.
Don't forget to give your eyebrows a nice shape and maybe some colour, too. Choose your lipsticks matching your bedlahs and check if there is lipstick on your teeth before taking pictures - otherwise you have to do a lot of photoshopping...
Use powder from time to time to avoid having a shiny nose and forehead.
Don`t forget to shave your armpits, as well. (I know, everyone should know this, but if you are nervous in the morning before the shoot, you might forget that...)
Oh - and if possible: Take some music with you. It helps finding poses and makes everything more fun!
Hope, I could help a little bit...
Love, Sahira.

Azhia has a great article on this forum some where. Do a little search to see what you can find. I would do it for you but I have to get ready now!

Re: Makeup for Photoshoots
When I'm doing shoots, I use MAC Studio Fix foundation - it stays wonderfully matte, also look for a powder that is also matte finish. I've noticed that many foundations that have an spf seem to have a shiny finish (especially true for the Bare Escentuals brand)
I second the darkening the eyebrows and drag queen comments.
Have fun!!!
