any way to lighten the load?

I guess one thing I didn't consider when I had boobs installed is that D cups with lots of coins would weigh a LOT !!

The one I have is halter style but it still wouldnt be very comfortable to wear longer than an hour..any way to change the style?

(no I'm not giving the boobs back :)

Photo of the bra would be helpful. I have DD's and wear coins frequently. One is the little tin ones for the bra and big ol' quarter sized coins on the belt. Another is a Costless, and lastly is one which literally has a kuchi pendent between the cups and a hand full of coins along the trim on each cup. I made this to go with a ME manufacturing belt. This is probably the lightest and most comfortable one.

All unhelpful snarking aside, I off center my halter connection so the pressure is not right on the vertebrae

Double straps also help. Over the shoulder and halter.

I know a lot of large-bosomed dancers swear by cross-back straps (looks like a halter from the front, but doesn't put all that weight on your neck).

Add a strap or two going from the halter down to the back strap. It looks sort of like a T.

Or X-back, similar look to a halter but no pressure on the neck. As someone who has had serious neck injuries and is also a D, I avoid halters, much as I like the look. I find the X-back works well.

I am not well-endowed, but I can't stand halter tops. They put too much pressure on my neck. I really like the x-back because it gives the appearance of a halter top, but it's a lot more comfortable. Wide straps help out a lot too.

Or an inverted V. That makes it easier to hook in back!

Make sure that the band is VERY firm. You want about as tight as you can get without getting back fat or restricting your movement. That's where most of your support will come from, leaving less for the halter strap to take up.

Keep the halter but run two straps or grosgrain ribbons from the center back of the halter down to the band, in an inverted V. Like this:

I do this with all my bras. It makes them amazingly comfortable (I have a herniated disk in my neck so halters used to be unbearable) abd creates wonderful cleavage. The only down side is it makes the bra a bit hard to get into. It has to be pulled over the head like a tshirt and fastened in the back (I sew the halter straps together first).

Do you hook the lower set of straps to the bra or are the permanent sewn on?
