Thread: I can haz custom?(!)

Ok so I realized last night that with the recent sale of 3 bedlah, I can now finally afford what I call a "good" costume. Something higher end than a basic workhorse bra/belt. A full costume that comes with skirts & accessories. Ive been trying to get a "good" costume for a long time & something always came up to where I couldn't do it.

I considered Pharonix, etc., but with all the glowing reviews I decided it'll be: a custom Dahab. Though now I cant decide on which style (I like 3 very different styles), or what colors. Girly all-pink (varying shades)? Green & purple? Turquoise with yellow accents?

I want all of the above, but can only pick one. .w.:

How do you decide?

What color goes best with your skin, hair and eyes?

Where will you be performing?

Some colors go better under lights than others, ditto if you're going to be outside.

What are the colors in your exsisting wardrobe and how would a new costume fit into that rainbow? Also, in addition to picking a color that looks good on you, what's your favorite? I'm a turquoise girl myself.

That's the thing, I'm rebuilding my rainbow, lol. I sold all but one workhorse bra/belt (in red). I recently bought a dusty pink lycra Egyptian set with giant pear & baguette crystals. I cant do pastels, but most primary colors/jewel tones and many tropical colors look good on me.

So currently I have a red set & a dusty pink set & that's it. And a brass bell/mirror set if I ever finish making it.

I'm all about the turquoise so Turquoise with Yellow accents sounds gorgeous to me. Which costumes are you thinking about? (I want to order from Dahab eventually...I hope they stick around!)

from a practical standpoint, since you've cut down your wardrobe, you will probably wear the new costume more often. that's why i'd recommend a darker color combination. won't show dirt and wear as quickly.

idk what color combo, they're all very pretty, but dahab is awesome and you'll be VERY happy with whatever you decide, i'm sure
