Confetti Bra/Belt on bellydancestore?
I searched for a thread that mentioned this bedlah, but couldn't find any. Do any of you have one of these? Or, those of you who live in the area (lucky!)- do you have any experience with these- looking at them, trying them on, etc?
Belly Dance Costumes | Belly Dance Store.com: gallery
Here's the backstory: I sold a few costumes in the last year, and as I've been going through my costume wardrobe, I don't really have any that I would be comfortable wearing to things like outdoor gigs (and I have a possible outdoor gig next month). All that I have now are higher end bra/skirt costumes- I don't have a single bra/belt set left (.w.:). For outdoor stuff, I prefer to have a bra/belt that I can pair with a cheaper or more durable skirt.
So I'm looking for an inexpensive bedlah for things like that. This one would fit a couple of current needs- it would give me an inexpensive costume for outdoor gigs (or other things where conditions may be less than ideal) and also my troupe uses silver bedlah rather often (and I sold mine because it didn't flatter me).
BUT, when costumes are priced this cheaply, I always wonder about their construction, durability, and fit. I have a rather large difference between my upper and lower hip (33" upper and 39-40" lower), so straight belts (especially cheaper ones) tend to gap quite badly on my bum- even when I add elastic. At this price point, I wouldn't expect designer quality, but I don't want something that's going to fall apart on me the first time I wear it. I'm just looking for a basic, rather inexpensive, nice set.
Any opinions or experience with this? Thanks!

I think I was standing next to a rack of these on Tuesday, but didn't check them out too closely. Maybe Samira will chime in...

I've seen plenty of them in person, as my former teacher had one and one of our local vendors here in CT (Hope's Travel Treasures) frequently stocks them. They're great little bedlahs - for the price, they're very sparkly, colorful, fun. I don't own one, but I would if I could do cupped butt belts. They really don't look cheesy or cheap at all.
I do seem to remember my teacher having an issue with the color rubbing off the giant paillettes, though. Maybe somebody else can confirm?

Re: Confetti Bra/Belt on bellydancestore?
That's exactly what I was hoping to hear- inexpensive, basic, but cute enough to work! I'm not expecting to be able to wear it to fancier gigs, but if I can use it for troupe-work and outdoor gigs, that's all I'm looking for. I'm still lusting after a different silver bra/belt set on bellydancestore (the one called Straps, since I decided I don't like the fringe placement on Icicles), but I have never seen a Straps in a C/D, which is what I need.
Thanks- I'm going to email Sharzhad a couple of questions, and if it will work for me, I'll probably buy this today. Thanks!

I had one of the straps costumes. It was a B cup and I'm a C. I was able to sew one set of wrist straps to the top edge of the cup to give me the coverage I wanted and it looked like it was always a part of the bra and not an addition.

I've done that before, but I'm a D (34D), so on a B cup, that might not be enough. They don't have any Straps on the site in silver or gold, anyway- those are the colors I'm most interested in. (And actually, looking at the site, I misspoke when I said that all of their Straps are B/C- because they have 1 in stock that's a D. It's just red, which is the color I need the least!

Dahlal has one in stock that's a B too. It's silver. They charge more for them than the BD store does.
I thought as a C cup that the addition of the wrist strap gave me a little more than what I really needed, but it might not be enough for a D. I'm a 36C for reference.
