Thread: Ben Nye

Talk to me about Ben Nye products. I've heard good things about the concealer wheel, not sure which shade tp buy. Also, the Lumiere eyeshadows seem to have a great color payoff, but 10$ a shadow is a bit expensive. Is it worth it? Have you tried the neutral set powder? Is it true that it keeps the face from sweating?

I like the concealer wheel because it contains shades for covering all kinds of imperfections. Don't use the powder anymore since I discovered their makeup setting spray.

I personally don't like their products. I find them very irritating and clogging on my skin. I'm turned off by the smell of their products and find the textures much slimier than necessary. (Tell us how you really feel, right?)

I like Ben Nye, but a good friend hates it. She sweats it right off. I like their setting powder (although I haven't tried their setting spray). For the eyeshadow, I am pretty sure I have the Lumiere (it's the super pigmented loose powder with sparkles). It was a little disappointing because I just found the same thing by Jesse's Girl (a really cheap drugstore brand) and it's working better for me at less than half the cost. Jesse's Girl shows up better and stays on longer. Maybe it's just the particular colors I have...
