Thread: What is the best adhesive for large, heavy bindis?

Spirit gum??? Where is the best place to buy it?

Is there something other than spirit gum you would recommend???

Spirit gum seems to work well, speaking as a heavily sweating person. I have never lost a bindi with it.

Cheap bindis can also be glued on with super glue - reaally, honestly, it does not harm your skin. I've done it many times. But, it limits the lifespan of your bindis because there is a build-up of gunk, so only do that with the ones you're ready to throw out after two or three wearings.

Spirit gum is not gentle on the bindis, either, even if you carefully clean them every time with spirit gum remover.

I purchase my spirit gum (and matching remover) at the local costume/theatrical supplies store. It's fairly cheap, too.

Thank! I have a Big A$$ bindi that I LOVE, but it's quite large and heavy. I want it to last forever! I tried eyelash glue, which normally works, but for this bindi . . . it's just too heavy . . .

I recommend prosthetic glue; you can get it from costume supply stores. It holds better than spirit gum and is what professional makeup artists use. :)
