Thread: Show me your blinged-out L. Rose stuff?

My L. Rose dance bra, gauntlets, and headband came in on Friday! They match the non-L. Rose skirt I had perfectly, and I'm getting all geared up to start working on decorating them. I'll probably use a combination of bits of costume jewelry from So Good (unless anyone wants to recommend against that) and maybe some individual Swarovski sew-ons. I also have a lovely brooch that was my grandmother's, which will have pride of place right in the middle of the bra. I'm not exactly sure what I want to do with the design, though, except for that brooch, and I have NO idea about the skirt. Does anyone have pics of L. Rose stuff that they blinged out, to maybe give me some inspiration? Thanks in advance!

the red one is an Lrose trumpet skirt (obviously) that i put on a belt base and decorated, the top and arm bands was a wrap top that i put onto a bra base and decorated. my friend helped me with the fringe since i was on a time crunch. ^_^

OK, Nasila, I just sent a friend request! You might not recognize the name, but it's obvious that the pic in the profile is from the same recital as the one in my icon here. :)

...and now I can see it. Oooh, that's gorgeous! I don't know if I'm going to get that ambitious (heck, I'm no Eshta), but wow!

I was lazy - I took my LRose skirts and accessories to Istanbul and said "hey Mr. SIM, please put sparkle on these!" ..g.:




The head scarf (yes, you can order them on special request from LRose) has been crocheted by a friend who is married to an Egyptian and learned the technique in Egypt.

Meissoun, that is one of the first dresses I've ever lusted after. Gorgeous!

I tried to order the "special" headscarf and she had no idea what I was talking about, so she's just sending me an extra scrap of the same fabric.

I gave her the exact measurements for the headscarf. It's not an official item, so you have to tell them how you want it.

Love this thread too. Big L. Rose fan here. I just received my order of a set of velvet gauntlets and U-top in both black and purple. Will keep checking this thread for inspiration!

I'm hoping more people will post stuff! I need to get going on mine. I'm just having trouble deciding what to do. I wish I could go somewhere that had sew-on crystals and stuff available for me to play with, just placing them on the top and the skirt to see what they look like. I might, this weekend, bring the stuff around to the various bead and craft stores I know in the area to see if anything inspires me.

Here is a link to a project that I did for Jim Boz! He provided me with a L.Rose Pant/Shirt and sash. I replaced the flare in the pants with a Dark Blue panel. I "blinged" it out and made another set of armbands, sash and wrist cuffs to match.

So I'm getting some ideas, now, I think. I've spent some time ogling stuff on the Intarwebz. I'm considering getting a few of these in silver (probably 6 or 8 of them) and spacing them around the skirt near the top:


I'm considering interspacing them with small rhinestone appliques, maybe, like these (in crystal):
