Appliqué base
I picked up a couple of headbands at Family Dollar Store. They had different shaped appliqué on them. Lightly sequined. Plan to flesh out with more beads,etc. Will reinforce to make more sturdy. They were $1.

Great idea! We have Dollar Tree here, I'll go take a look. If you need to reinforce your applique base, stitching it to interfacing covered with your costume fabric is a cheap and effective way to go. Don't use glue because it's nearly impossible to sew through if you need to bling up the existing applique.
