Thread: MAC paint pots

I've been using it for awhile. i had trouble w/ it making my eyelids look dry and wrinkly----the other eyeshadow primer i used didn't do this. i asked at the MAC counter and she said i was using too much. i think i'm using less but still it happens. the shadow stays put great but----does anyone have an idea?

just a thin veil works for me. do you moisturize first?

maybe that's it---i'm so used to being oily that i only moisturize at night---i'll try that..a light moisturizer.

Awhile back I read where some people were having incredible results using petroleum jelly / Vaseline as eyeshadow base. You need just the thinnest, tiniest amount; you're trying to give a bit of tackiness for the eyeshadow to stick to but too much makes a greasy mess. This would also give you just a bit of extra emollience there. It's cheap enough for you to try anyway.

2nd only needing a tiny amount. Paint pots can be thick, particularly the matte shades. Just dab a touch on with a brush, then smooth and spread with fingertips.
