good liquid eyeliner
I love my Almay liquid eyeliner. It has a shaped (pointed) applicator for fine or thick lines, goes on smoothly, and doesn't flake off. The only problem? It doesn't come in black.
On a friend's recommendation, I recently bought Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen, which is like a felt-tip pen. I hate it. The liquid never quite gets to the tip, it doesn't quite have the inky blackness of "real" liquid eyeliner, and it doesn't apply as smoothly, either.
Does anyone have a favorite liquid eyeliner with a shaped applicator that's not too expensive?
Thanks!

Re: good liquid eyeliner
Hi! I have used Maybelline Stiletto liquid liner from what I remember it was a felt tip, they also had a liner in a tiny little bottle that came with a brush...then I bought a liner from Sephora...worth the $14! It also came in a tiny little bottle and brush but it goes on soooooo smoothly and it comes off easily. Hope this helps!

Kryolan, which comes with a brush. I'm old-school. Shiseido used to do a good one too, though I haven't bought that in about 20 years and don't know if they still make it.

I love Body Shop's black liquid liner. Super short brush, which I like for extra control.

Kryolan and the old Shiseido one are, I think. They don't run anyway.

I use MAC liquid last. It's waterproof. Actually it's so waterproof it's also partially "waterproof eyemakeup remover proof". LOL.

MAC of course! Nothing but the apocalypse ( OK their eye make-up remover) will take that sucker off. My other fave is Sephora's house brand liner...I use their "doe-eyed" liner because I can do that vintage pin-up look easily with it.

Maybelline's ultra liner is a brush applicator but it is waterproof, doesn't smudge and never comes off - it literally comes off in ribbons when it finally comes off.

Re: good liquid eyeliner
More expensive but Stila's waterproof liner is a good purchase as it stays put and is easy to apply. I love the tip-- is is a really fine brush so you have lots of control.

Ditto on MAC Liquidlast, love it. I use a brush from the art store instead of the brush it comes with, though. It is a bit more hassle to clean, but makes aplacation faster and easier.

Ditto on MAC. But I prefer using their Fluidline and Bobbi Brown's Gel Liner to get the "look" of liquid liner.

Re: good liquid eyeliner
I've recently gone nuts for Clinique's brush on creme liner. I like the control of painting on with a brush. It's not watery like regular liquid liner so I don't get it on my upper lid but it's softer than pencil so I can get it on good and thick and PRECISE :) I draw a lot of shapes with liner (points, flares, etc.) and I sweat heavily. This stuff has worked like a charm and doesn't seem to irritate my sensitive eyes.
