Thread: I'm in love with Eman

I just received a beautiful wine Eman from Valeskah, and I
realized that I am in love with Eman costumes!!

It's my 2nd Eman, I purchased a gorgeous Eman Prestige on bhuz a little
while ago, and both costumes fit me like a dream! I don't mean
just the fact that they are actually my size---which helps lol.
I'm talking about how they just "fit" me--the bra fits my shape well,
the shape of the skirts, etc. Does that make sense?

I've had some other "famous maker" costumes, and loved them, but so
far the Eman's seem to work the best for my shape............
I know 2 costumes isn't much to go by--but 2 for 2 is a pretty good
average to me! ..g.:

Anyone else feel that way about Eman? Or which designer seems to work
for you? I'm curious now.......

I have an older Eman Nocturnelle secondhand from another bhuzzer. It is very flattering on me... much more so than some Hanan's I've had. Personally, I think that the lycra Hanan's are better constructed and sturdier compared to Eman, but the shape and fit of the Eman is better for me. So yeah... personally wouldn't say Eman's are the best, but they are nice... great/flattering fit, and really it's all a matter of opinion and what fits YOU best. :)

I'm with ya girl. Eman is my favorite designer. I love that the costumes are SIMPLE, yet elegant, and never boring. They are classic looking, like belly ballgowns. In fact I always said if Belly had the Oscars and the red carpet, we'd all go for eman

Yeah... I agree... most of them are pretty classy looking. I'd say it's the classiest costume in my wardrobe!

There does seem to be a designer for each figure type. Eman's don't work as well for me, as I have narrow hips (tragic for a belly dancer)

however, Sim Moda Evi's costume fit my shape very well, are amazingly well constructed and very flattering, also hold their value well. I currently have 4 I'll never let go of, love them.

Another Eman fan here. My profile costume is one of hers. A dress made for another dancer and now mine..all mine. One she made for me is another's dancers as I lost a bit of weight.
But I also think I am a Valeskha fan as I love the LRose frock I've just received from her. You see there is good news on Swap Meet.

Lizajuk--yes, and I'd have to agree on being a Valeskah fan--she was a sweetheart to deal with!

I like the way Pharaonics fit me. I have three now. I never thought I would be a hoarder of a specific brand.

I do like Eman costumes though. While I've heard of some issues with construction, I think her designs are beautiful and current. I've never had one or tried one on so I'd be curious as to how they fit on me.

Emans are SO gorgeous, but the bras just don't seem to fit me. Well, of the 2 i've tried on, I didn't like them on me. I keep wanting to try them though, because they exude elegance.

Up until l went to Cairo this year, and tried Sahars (and also dabbled with bellas) I was all about the emans. I too have had a couple of construction issues but I generally love most of her designs.

I love emans...I have at least 4 or 5 - they do flatter a woman's figure so much!

And I second (third?) being a Valeskah fan - she's awesome!

I love love love Eman costumes! so classy and elegant. They are all I own right now :) They just sit on my body nicely!

I'm a big Eman fan. They are the only lycra costumes I like on me. The skirts fit me super well and I really like how she cuts them to get a big flare out of trumpet skirts. The bead work is delicious and the crazy bras are most excellent after finally figuring out how to fit them to me.

As for big foofy skirts, I leave that to Bella or Pharoanics.

I love the look of Eman costumes and finally own one..the "Bollywood Barbie" that belonged to Satin. her costumes are easy to wear, flattering to my figure and generally pretty elegant & couture-esque without being overly minimal.

I think that Pharaonics & SIMs have fit me the best but Eman is up there, too.

I love Emans designs. They are so classy.
The workmanship can be hit and miss but her designs are fab

And responding to the question, I've never met a Bella I didn't love and which didn't love me back... (after adjustments) but Eman and Sim come in a close second. I've tried about 8 Pharaonics and have got one out of that which fits and looks good (but I keep trying!) ..l;,

I love how Eman's look..... on other people. They just don't work for me. SOOOO sad. In fact, Lesedi and Phillyraqs have two that were mine, and was tempted to get the one Valeskah had (before she bought it.) Nocturnelle and Polished to Perfection. I LOVE the movement of them. Sadly, the bras were just not flattering for my shape. Happy to see people enjoying two of my fav's though. : )

salsa I am in the same boat. The only designers that do me any favors are bella, pharonics and me!
Eman's don't fit my bust correctly and look really weird on me.

I'm in a polyamorous relationship with my Emans and Bellas. The fit of the Emans give my slight curves a bit more oomph! With Bellas I feel like a princess and the Emans like a goddess.

But I could never be exclusive with either, they fit different needs. lol ..g.y

Haha! Yeah, that's a good way to describe it... love the Emans for a more classy look, but my bella and pharaonics are great for that poofy princessy look. :)

I'm looking forward to April 2011's Jewel of Yorkshire as Eman is giving not only dance workshops but ones on costume design. I'm signed up ...this could be the start of something big..The House of Liz!
By the way,I've already taken a Samia Workshop with Eman and she is a jewel.
