Ohhhh I have a gorgeous black and red Dahab but I haven't had time to take pictures of it!! I was planning to wear it to a gig yesterday but silly organizers decided to change plans last minute and I didn't have a chance to change into it...

here is my orange! i love this costume to pieces and recently wore it and received so many compliments on it! very well constructed..i am waiting to pay off my 2nd order so i can be in dahab bliss yet again :D

Andalee- wow that's gorgeous. How long did it take to get it? I may have to order one in royal blue :-)

My official order went in on Aug 1 and I got the costume on Sept 27...almost 2 months, I guess.

Eeeee that is gorgeous! Is that a custom design or is it based off one of the pre-made ones? So pretty!

It was a custom design based on one the ones posted in the retail swap meet. I went crazy when I saw the fabric! It's a teal super fine glitter dot lycra. Depending on the lighting, it goes from teal blue to teal green. Has anyone checked out the newest ones on the retail thread? Some really yummy stuff.

Mine gets here tomorrow, I can hardly stand it!

Ok, pic of it in the bag just from the box, close up out of the bag & then on me with no adjustments & over yoga pants & directly from class & holding the top up trying to mug for the camera but laughing at my husband. Colors are richer in person (iPhone pic) and loads more sparkle. I'm particularly digging the armbands.

Base is turquoise reptile/snakeskin print. Turquoise, silver & purple beading, silver & purple sequins. Crystals are giant clear brooches, clear stones, AB emerald cut stones, AB rhinestone chain, and some light turquoise & purple stones grouped together as accents. The accent stones pull in the colors from the fabric that's the veil which matches the inserts on the front sides of the skirt.

Aaaahhh - that is STUNNING! I love the center piece of the bra. And what's that special skirt business . . . two patterned pieces of fabric? The whole ensemble is perfect on you!

Yah, two pieces inserted where it would split over the top of each leg in the front/double slit skirt, but it's not sewn to the turquoise (which is trimmed in turquoise sequins & has purple sequin design across the bottom) along the sides, so it flows really nicely (silky flowy material, silk chiffon??, but can tell it's good quality whatever it is). The veil is the same material & pattern as the inserts so it matches & the veil floats well. The pattern is It's a muted scrolly/paisley pattern, the paisley & such have a little turquoise on them, but the brunt of the design is in a light pinky brown/sepia like tone. I wouldn't have thought to put it with the turquoise & purple, but it works, so good thing I'm not a costume designer, lol.

edit: Actually, it's the exact same pattern fabric on the model I had mine made after - the mango costume on page 1.
