Thread: Tell me where to find a decent mega eyeshadow pallet for cheap

I've been watching several clips from different people on "how to make Arab eyes" (from Miss Chievious and make up geek) on youtube and they are using a giant pallet of over 100 shadows. I

Any suggestions on brand that's of decent quality but won't break my wallet? I know Sephora carries them around Christmastime, but I have always hesitated because I don't know if I'm buying chalk. Sometime's they are not pigmented enough.

The malls have stores called "Icing", they have a nice set, really cheap. I think 10 or 15 bucks. Great colors!!

I finally broke down and ordered myself one of the Pro Party 120 Palettes on eBay! Just now! I'm looking forward to playing with it :)

I've found ProFusion pallettes dirt cheap at Ross and Marshall's.

Yeah (laughs) I saw you mentioned that on the older thread. I never have luck at Ross. Our Ross here always looks like a bomb went off.

I will try it though. How do you like the quality of the pro fusion brand? are there tons of colors to choose from?

Our Ross is always a mess, too! Drives me nuts. But it's worth stopping in for the occasional screaming deal. Marshalls is kept up a bit better, at least around here.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think ProFusion are exactly the same as the ones from Coastal Scents -- they sell under a couple of different brand names on eBay. The shadows are highly pigmented, dense, and bright. I've found a couple of 120-color pallettes there in the past and some 80-color ones, along with some smaller assortments.

Not large, but very colorful, inexpensive, and easy to find at your local drugstore: Milani. I'm loving their greens/golds set right now.

NYX. I'd have probably snagged this set if Ulta carried it...

Coastal Scents vote here too. Last night I lightly pressed my brush into a color and it went on SO dark. I love 'em!

I went Coastal Scents craaaaaazy recently! Bought a couple dozen of the sample size of the glittery and mica eyeshadows. Most were $1 (though a couple were about $2.50) but honestly these "sample" sizes will last me years. I got their version of the high definition micro spheres powder too and like it. I also really splurged and got the 3 palette set of "Winter Berry", "Fall Festival" and "Think Pink". I showed all my samples to some of my dancer friends and they've been ordering now too. I have a restaurant performance next weekend so I'll see how they hold up.

I love new sources for more eyeshadow. I'll have to check out NYX and coastal scents

Are the Coastal Scents pressed eyeshadows (in the palettes) highly pigmented, or would you stick with the loose mica powder? I'm glad to see you ladies have used them, I have been wanting to buy some but not sure if the palette colors are brilliant enough for stage.
