quick question - glitter in studio photos

I have my first indoor studio photoshoot tomorrow and I'm wary of covering myself in body glitter like I always do. I use Lush's Shimmy Shimmy glitter massage bar which has pinkish-gold iridescent glitter in it, and gold glitter hairspray. I'm worried the glitter will just look like dirt, and not sparkle. How does glitter work in studio photos, under lights like that?

I've always been told not to use glitter in photos, that it looks like dirt.

Glitter requires movement to show up well. In stills it may look dark or it may look like bright spots. Best to skip it!

yheah, in stills and even in poor definition moving images it looks like sweat instead of sparkly (i thought the tribal dancers in the BDSS Paris show(youtube clips) were just sweaty until i got the DVD and could see that they had body glitter on ^_~)

ita. glitter looks like sweat under studio lights unless you are lit specifically for glitter which is a more editorial thing

Quick plug, "eye candy" glitter does not look like dirt in photo's and it can be used as body glitter as well as on your eyes.

Any chance you know someone who has any?

Eye Kandy is great stuff, but glitter is glitter when it comes to studio stills unless, as Sabrina said, you're lit specifically for it. If it ruins the shoot, that's a very expensive mistake.

it's doesn't necessarily look like sweat or dirt, but it does look weird. Glitter really only works in stills if it's on your fingernails, and you might as well not bother for that unless it's going to be a HUGE image. You just won't notice it.

You can always add glitter afterwards in photoshop if you want to look sparkly!

You can use a body lotion with a slight shimmer as another option.
