Thread: help me pick my Bella colors!

I'm getting this model:



here is me:



As you can see, I am pale pale pale with pinkish tones to my skin. My hair is a brighter red than it looks in the picture - it's pretty fiery, especially under direct light (ladies who henna, you know how it is.) My eyes are green.

I think I want the base color to be teal, but I've been mulling over accent colors in my head for days! Any suggestions for an accent color/colors with teal or any other color combos you think would look good would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm so excited to order my first Bella!..g.:

For you, blue, green, purple... well as you know already : colors for red haired girls - and i know a little about it ;)

i like teal with brown or even a turqoise with brown. it's unexpected.

I'm choosing one custom made right now for me, it's driving me crazy (and probably will Bella also ..l;,) changing my mind all the time... ..c::

I also think of bright green with a dark cold color like dark purple for you...

Hey you look great in my old swirl! :) :) I would do teal and magenta.

I think teal looks really rich with any number of the deeper close complements, from purple, plum, wine, magenta even the right fuchsia. I also consider brown in the ruddy range of close complements to the greeny teal family, but it would have to be a reddish rich chocolatey brown. Even a very direct cherry red looks nice with the right teal.

I also like teal with black, silver, turquoise or white.

I got teal with purple and it looks AMAZING. I love accent colors that really pop!

I have a beautiful pharaonics in teal, with dark-emerald green and turquoise/ sky blue :D those colors are amazing together :) kinda close, but different colors. :)

Teal and Copper or Rust would be pretty.

My opinion would be to let Bella decide. Just tell her that you want teal as a base, send her your picture, and let her work her magic! When I custom ordered a costume from her, I specified that I wanted silver as an accent- she changed it anyway, and I liked it better her way!

I LOVE teal and copper and it looks great on both red heads and blondes.

That is beautiful! Isn't that the same model as the one I'm getting, too?

Purple is my favorite color but I'm trying to stay away from it in this Bella because my one and only costume right now is already purple. That is so gorgeous, though.

How would I let Bella know I want her to pick the accent color from the order page? Only put 'teal' as the color? I've been considering that idea. Bella is an artist, and I know I wouldn't be disappointed if I let her work her magic.

What do you think about teal and gold?

I've had friends say specifically "i'd like _____ color from your color guide on the website) and end up with a completely different color, like she disregarded them altogether. I once ordered the red/orange color from her website. I can't remember the color specifically, but I DID use the term. I ended up with a red and orange costume.

When I ordered this one (my first bella!) she actually ASKED if I wanted turqoise as an accent color on my indigo colored costume. I said yes, if she thinks so since she's the costume artist, and WOW I love it!

so anywys....ya just never know.

I think you could even have a couple of accents. My two Bellas were custom rather than ordered from the models on the site but i ended up with:

Royal blue with gold coins, gold and green accents, royal and nude chiffon skirt (I sent a pic of Sandras royal blue coin Bella and asked for a version of that)

Magenta, gold, black with AB crystals, purply magenta and fuchsia skirt (I had requested a bright pink and clear silvery crystal)

I think teal, gold and hot pink would be awesome, or teal, gold and purple. I pair my turquoisey-tealy costume with a hot pink veil and get so many compliments on it :)

cara, have you posted pics of these? i can't remember but I want to see them!!

and yes, I LOVE more than one accent color!

i vote for teal with lime green accents!
