Halloween Costume Ideas?
I know this type of thread usually comes around this time of year so here it is again. I'm dancing at a Halloween themed show in one week. I'm using the song "Thriller" and have no idea what to do for a costume! Nothing like waiting til the last minute right? LOL Any quick and cheap ideas??
Thanks!!!

Going to the Inland Empire MECDA hafla, huh? Those are always fun!
Thriller - Tear up some old yoga pants, tee shirt and add a leather jacket if you have one. Get heavy chain (or an Indian chain belt - I have one you can have it you'll send me shipping fees) and make it into a "belt" If you wear shoes, try to find a pair of penny loafers.

If you're doing thriller, go as a zombie or a mummy or a mj.
Mummy or zombie would be fun... you could do some grey face paint and get gauze and wrap some gauze around you.

Tahira - I like your idea! What's the length on the Indian chain belt? I'm actually dancing at the Egyptian Tea Room in San Diego.
Lesedi-Good ideas!
I don't know where my creativity has gone lately! LOL

36" with little loops and bells. But it's cheap silver compound which would be easy to take apart and tack onto other things in pieces.

hmmm...36" is little short for me but let me know the shipping cost and your paypal anyway. I'm sure I can find a way to use it : )

I'm actually dancing with two other ladies to "Thriller" as well. We're costuming as "Zombie Cleopatras"... White shifts with tears and white yoga pants beneath with the gold collar and hip wrap. We'll be wrapping our arms with the same fabric as the dresses and leaving long tails of the fabric.

Re: Halloween Costume Ideas?
If you go as mummy, you can also do some gold colored cuffs and a gold necklace/neckpiece to make it look more egyptiany.
ETA: For Halloween this year, I'm going as Carmen Miranda and dancing to "Jump In the Line" by Harry Belafonte. Now to go get some fruit for my turban... :)Last edited by Lesedi; 10-03-2010 at 04:09 AM.

Have fun!!
I'm dancing at a Halloween/Circus Themed wedding in a few weeks. Going to be a dancing kitty. Have a fun tiger striped print eman that I'm wearing with ears and a tail. A friend of mine is going to be the "lion tamer", going to be so goofy and fun.

Re: Halloween Costume Ideas?
I'm thinking bellydancer/Ninja for a friend's fancy party I'm dancing at this year, but would LOVE to hear some more ideas! Last year I also did the lion tamer/circus ringmaster thing, was a blast! A devil costume also works well with a red BD costume, just add horns and a tail!
