Help!what colour suits me?
Hi everyone!
I am thinking about buying a costume, but I have no idea which colour suits me.
I am very pale, i have hennaed hair and my eyes are blue.
Hoping for advice

Re: Help!what colour suits me?
I have similar coloration as far as hair (hi, fellow hennahead!) and eyes. People often say "you look awesome in that color!" when I wear bright blues such as royal blue. I also think many shades of green are good for redheads -- I tend to favor olive, sage, or hunter green.
On the other hand, lately I've been experimenting with colors completely opposite my usual favorites, sometimes with surprisingly good results. When I wore an orange costume a friend of mine loved the way it looked with my hair and insisted that orange was definitely my color. Go figure.

Re: Help!what colour suits me?
what Jeanne said- & keep in mind it's the brighter blues (nice clear royal as opposed to something more muted) that I tend to be able to pull off. I love purple, but it doesn't love me, so I stick with using as an accent, or at least away from my face when I simply must have purple!
in addition to greens, I tend to do well with muted or golden hued colors- so teal vs. turquoise, an orangey red instead of a wine red (tho any red is something of a risk since I am an extreme Alaska-pale)
coral/peachy colors set off red hair favorably too.

Re: Help!what colour suits me?
I think what you look good in has more to do with your skin tone then your eyes or hair color. So you may just have to hit a fabric store with a mirror (& or a good friend) and wrap your self in colors and see what makes you pop (you don't want colors that will overpower you or make your skin look sickly). Look at your skin, not at your hair/eyes, etc.
However, I've found you can get away with some colors on stage that you might not otherwise if you want to go with some extra drama and you do your make up right. So you can always just pick a color that really appeals to you and that you think might look good in performance, then make it work.
If you are totally lost, I'd recommend a jewel tone. They seem to work on most people.

Re: Help!what colour suits me?
I agree with bright colors.
Turquoise, Bright pink, Coral...
I also think you would look good in a blue based light pink (I think they call it Ice Pink).
Lovely photo!

Re: Help!what colour suits me?
ou are not very pale :D You look like me with a tan! :p Lol! I think you would look good in pink tones, coral, peach and teal, and also emerald green ;) And royal purple/blue =)
Silver looks awful on me, I should wear gold accents, but I keep wearing silver :D
I also think you would look awesome in brown/copper and leopard :)

Your coloring looks similar to Razia's, take a look at her website: Belly Dance London
She wears a lot of different colors - red, fuschia, orange, green, copper, leopard - and rocks them all.

Re: Help!what colour suits me?
I have similar coloring, but lighter reddish hair.
Definitely a strong true blue or turquoise, bright true green and a solid red are what people say looks best on me.
The softer colors like pink/coral are also good, but more for up close dancing. On a stage it makes you look naked and hip movements less defined because there is less contrast between skin color and belt color.

First thing that came to my mind ist: Brilliant and bright blue!
Turquoise, teal, bordeaux or emerald green would be lovely, too.

I think you would look great in bright colors such as blue, green and purple. I have the same type of coloring and have found that those colors are best.
