Looking for a Costume
Hello everyone,
I am looking for a beautiful two piece bra and belt set that I have seen some professional dancers wearing while browsing the internet. I thought that I would ask anyone here if they could help me indentify the designer of the costume, and perhaps, a vendor who would sell it. It seems like a fairly popular set, but I have spent an entire day on the web looking for it with no luck. If someone recognizes it I would be extremely appreciative.
I first saw in on Sadie, but I also noticed Petite Jamilla is wearing it in the promotional flyer for BDSS Bombay Bellywood.
I have attached the best photo that I could find of it, and if anyone is curious there is also a photo of this costume on the BDSS website, in the BDSS magazine on the last page. (Petite Jamilla is farthest to the right.)
I know this is a tough question, and it might be too difficult to answer, but I am sure there are a lot of you who know what it is like to be bitten by the costume bug! I love this costume and am trying eveything I can to see if I can find it.
Thank you for all of your help!

Re: Looking for a Costume
A couple of diffrent designers have gone with this theme recently. None both Eman and Bella have done bra / skirt combos. No bra / belts off the top of my head, though.
Hope that gives you a lead!

I remember someone making a pharonic bedlah on a "What are you working on (month entered here)..... it was this year I know. I just was in awe of how creative and beautiful it was. Maybe she's tired of it and will sell it.......

Re: Looking for a Costume
Thank you everyone for all of your help! I have found both the Baladi Boutique version and the Bella version, and both are dead on! I think I will go with the Baladi Boutique version, but they are both gorgeous!
I noticed that these costumes are imitations of the original Suhaila Salimpour wore years ago, in a video I found on YouTube when she was a teenager. I can't resist posting it for all of you to see!

That costume really jumped out at me when I read the article about Sadie in Belly Dance magazine. I hope you you find yours!

Re: Looking for a Costume
Ever since you posted this I've wanted to discuss the differences in the makeup of the two dancers in the picture, but I have held off because I didn't want anybody who knew the girl on the right to think I was being negative about her makeup. If I start a discussion about that will I be accused of picking on her?

Ah, the joys of living in the Middle East. When I click on the link to the photo of the costume all I get is this warning message from the Qatari censor:
