    how do I figure out bugle bead sizing?

    Hi Ladies -

    I need to buy some transparent turquoise, silver lined bugle beads for a costume I am working on. The beads themselves are .25" long, from one end to the other end. The diameter appears to be 1/16".

    when I go on bead websites, they are referencing in mm or "size 3," etc.

    How do I figure out what size beads to buy?
