I think I remember a similar thread recently but I can't find it and I have a few more questions ..g.:

Here goes!

1. How many professional costumes do you own? (Not including folklore)
2. How many times do you dance per week/month?
3. How many costumes do you think you should own based on #2?
4. How old is your oldest wearable costume in your closet?
5. How often do you rotate?


Here are my answers
1. 6 (I said I'd stop at 5 but I didn't listen)
2. Things are picking up, between 4-5 shows per week
3. One in every colour !! (Does that make me an addict?)
4. Oldest wearable was purchased in January, so 9 months
5. I think I'm rotating a lot right now! Not sure if it is because I am updating my look, or because I want to dance in and try as many costumes as I can afford!

1. Too many!!! In my closet 15, which includes 4 costumes I'm selling, with 7 on the way, can you say addict!!!! .w.:

4. hmm, oldest for me, or in general? I'd say probably about 1 year, maybe 2, I have so many they aren't worn out ..l;,
5. Seems like I'm buying and selling all the time :) but I just figured out what I like and what fits best. and I like to receive the new first, make sure I like it and then sell, I need to stop this. wow, I'm back up, I was doing so well.

5. How often do you rotate? used to quite often. then i went on an across the country move so i couldn't buy more, and i sold a few without replacing their empty spots in my closet. i am hoping to update/move some stuff soon

1. How many professional costumes do you own? 11 and 2 folkloric dresses..and not counting troupe costumes since I don't wear those unless I'm in troupe things (which is an additional 4 costumes)

3. How many costumes do you think you should own based on #2? maybe 8 max

4. How old is your oldest wearable costume in your closet? probably my green costume i got here on bhuz, or my purple one (also from here). they're both about 2 years old

5. How often do you rotate? now i'm happy with my collection but I try and sell whenever I buy something that strikes my fancy

2. How many times do you dance per week/month? From 1-8 per month.
3. How many costumes do you think you should own based on #2? Maybe 6?
4. How old is your oldest wearable costume in your closet? My ruby Bella, it's 5 yrs old and still perfect.
5. How often do you rotate? Whenever I'm sick of a costume (very rare) or have my eye on a new one (much more likely!) So every couple months.

I was thinking about this thread, because I keep a listing of all my costumes and of the troupe (so that we can coordinate) and realized it needed updating....I think I have close to 30 costumes!!!!!!!!! For really no good reason!!!!!!!!! and 2 on the way!!!!!!!!!!!

20? Many of them are handmade but not the sort of handmade where the average dancer unfamiliar with my work would KNOW it wasn't "designer purchased"

2. How many times do you dance per week/month?
2-3 times a week.

3. How many costumes do you think you should own based on #2?
I expect my costume collection to be versitile enough that no one, including me, gets bored. I don't have a number but I do make sure I can have more than one look per bedlah with skirt options.

4. How old is your oldest wearable costume in your closet?
at least 20 years old....I bought one from Princess Banu

5. How often do you rotate?
I sell when I find I am not wearing something regularly or the fit has changed, but I am not an orderly rotater.
