Bella vs. Legend. vs. Sim
Hi =)
This is probably a very stupid question, but here goes:
Does these designers have any connection?
I see a lot of similar costumes comming from them.
Is it because people custom order costumes that are originally made by the other designers?
(like, if someone sends a picture of a Bella to Legend, and wants the same one)
Or maybe the designers are related? ..g.:
They are all different, but still I feel like they have something in common :D
Hope this isnt a silly question..
Im new to the costuming world :D
And Ive never owned either of them, so I wouldnt know if there are difference in the quality?
The fit?
Which one do you guys like the best? And why?

Re: Bella vs. Legend. vs. Sim
I don't think that's a silly question, I was just brousing through legends facebook pics and thinking wow that looks just like such and suches Bella! I can tell SIMs apart from a Bella but Legends favor both designers to me although I can still tell it's legend. I believe they are all separate designers catering to a small clientale and keeping up on what's new and in style. Also I think your right about the custom ordering one designers creation with a different company/ person.
Those three brands are really my favorites as far as fit and looks.

Re: Bella vs. Legend. vs. Sim
I agree with Ahmber about many points here. These 3 also fit me the absolute best.
Legend and Sim definately can fool me which is which at times, though Bellas I can spot fairly easily. I'd love to hear if there is any connection between Sim/Legend.
The only connections I knew of in the costuming world was the late Madame Hekmet and Madame Abla being cousins, and Mercedes Paganini being Bella's daughter in law. Isn't Mumtaz Mr Yasser's designer too? I've seen more designs by Mumtaz recently than Yasser, though I am a known Yasser fan.
I am sure there are neat stories, I'd love to hear about as well.

Re: Bella vs. Legend. vs. Sim
some of bellas designers branched out on their won and went to work for other designers hence the similarity in quality. thats about all i know.

Re: Bella vs. Legend. vs. Sim
EliAnn, they are all Turkish designers. Between the Sims and Bellas I have seen in person, Sims have heavier and more elaborate beadwork, heavier fringe, and mine has beaded, substantial, but yet stretchy bra straps, which are very comfy. I think the Bellas often have a real artistry to the hand strung fringe placement and use of color. I don't believe I have ever seen a Legend costume in person.

Re: Bella vs. Legend. vs. Sim
I should add that my Sim is a little bit older, and the newer ones might be made differently, as older costumes are generally heavier than new ones. Between the two, I personally prefer Sim for construction and Bella for design.

Re: Bella vs. Legend. vs. Sim
Thank you girls =)
I actually think Sims looks heavy :D
Legend has very similar cut-out bras as Bella, IMO.
I feel Legend is a bit more "playful" in color and design.
Sim bras I usually recognise, but I think some of the Legend skirts looks very Sim-like.
Paganini also looks quite similar to Belloas I think. Dont they?
Doesnt Paganini exsist anymore? Saw a thread that she has "disappered"?
Does anyone know how long she made costumes?
And who is Dennis? Is he a designer? Feel like Ive heard that name somewhere I read about Bella or something.
Im thinking of ordering a Legend or, Bella, but cant decide.
Love the colors of the Legends, but have a feeling Bellas are higher quality, and more comfy.. At least, that is how they look :D
Wonder if the designers know eachother, are friends, etc.. :p

Re: Bella vs. Legend. vs. Sim
I've also orderd from all the designers you have listed and all are awesome to work with.
My SIMs are unbeliveable beaded, loaded with rhinestones as well as my Legends. And my Bellas are all unique and beautiful.
If I want a costume for "smaller" gigs, like Birthday partys, Weddings and so on, I like SIM's and Legends... they are blingi, but mostly not unique - your audience will see all the shine of the beautiful costume, but won't notice if another dance around the wold have exactly the same.
If I want a costume for stage, I order a Bella (or other designers who make one of a kind costumes - think about Eshta here on bhuz).
Of course I wear my Bellas also for "smaller" gigs
I love the fit of all of them. For my hips are SIM's working best, for my girls Bellas are best. The Legends I've had were a bit softer at the bra, very comfi to wear.
So the best is to safe ALOT of money and order from all ..g.:
One more reason for me to order more from Bella than the other designers is of course the tax in Europe! Bella sends them from Belgium so I don't have to pay tax. - And it's about 32-35% in Germany ..c::

Re: Bella vs. Legend. vs. Sim
Thanks Sabua =)
In Norway we have to pay taxes anyways, so if I order from Belgium or Africa, its just the same :D
(we refuse to be a part of the European Union or whatever its called) :D (silly politicians...)
